Synthego is looking for a Product Manager Engineered Cells to support our fast-growing Engineered Cells portfolio. This role will support product development, technical content development, messaging, sales enablement, and bring the voice of the customer to internal decisions. An ideal candidate is an analytical person who has great attention to detail and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while also building relationships both internally and externally.

This role will manage the Engineered Cells products. They will be responsible for leading the execution of new products, ensuring that they are priced, positioned, placed and promoted appropriately, and arrive at the data by considering numerous factors such as intended customers, their workflow, their problems, how our products service their needs, competitive products, and how well the product fits with the company's business model. The Product Manager also ensures an atmosphere of cohesiveness and focused collaboration between all the members of the team, all in the interest of driving the product forward.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineered Cells products for immortalized and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) cell line engineering orders, including the product description and messaging, customer communication, operational and order management advisory, and customer support.

  • Support the execution and monitoring of the market and product strategies for cell line engineering by engaging market and customer research; work with technology teams to bring products through development to market.

  • Ensures that they understand customer workflow, including current challenges, competition, and needed solutions for current and future customers

  • Assemble scientific data and write technical case studies, white papers, scientific posters, and technical presentations for industry conferences, in partnership with R&D and content manager

  • Partners with Marketing to develop key sales collateral and awareness vehicles to drive demand for products.

  • Develops comprehensive marketing collateral based on emerging market trends, including design and execution of messaging, promotional materials, sales tools, and proof sources

  • Train sales members and distributors on the product portfolio and develop sales enabling resources.

  • Be insanely passionate about data and metrics. Analyze market dynamics and product demand to inform next-step decision making.

Requirements

  • MS or equivalent degrees in life sciences

  • 3+ years product management or technical product marketing experience in a life science or drug discovery company

  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment with strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience presenting to large high level audiences

  • Self-driven problem-solver, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Work well as part of a team including work to build consensus with peers and management

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Ph.D. in the Life Sciences

  • Hands-on experience with CRISPR experiments

  • Hands-on experience with immortalized and induced pluripotent stem cell culture (iPSC)

  • Experience communicating with customers and internal stakeholders

An ideal candidate is a detail-oriented person who enjoys working in close collaboration with different teams and has excellent communication and project management skills. This role is part of a team that reports directly to the Associate Director of Product Management: Engineered Cells. They will be responsible for conducting CRISPR-related scientific feasibility on incoming Engineered Cells projects, liaising with the Operations team when necessary, and communicating the outcome to the sales team and customers. They will also assist in pre and post-sale customer communications, assisting sales and operations to communicate highly technical information. In addition, they will also manage and track global key account projects. This role also has visibility into strategic business & process changes and will be involved in projects to improve our customer and internal experiences. What You'll Do * Conducting scientific feasibility for Advanced Cells Orders, which requires effective communication with sales and operations. * Support sales and customers including facilitating discussions with customers around their scientific goals, synthesizing a strategy that intersects with our capabilities and customer needs, and present options to customers * Post-sale support: Be a conduit between customers, sales, and EC operations. Provide scientific support and context to updates for customers and help resolve questions, cancellations, or issues. * Provide exceptional customer service, with a customer forward mentality. * Managing Global Key Accounts- including facilitating progress report calls and project tracking.
