The Engadget product manager (PM) leads initiatives to make changes, improvements and additions to the Engadget website.
The PM works closely with the editorial team and business leadership to identify strategic priorities, develop appropriate products, and then direct the designers and engineering teams in the development of those projects.
The PM should bring a deep understanding of current Web technologies as well as experience project managing a small engineering team deliver on projects. It's critical that the PM have experience delivering projects on time and juggling several projects at once.
The PM must be skilled in communicating clearly and consistently to colleagues the technology, time, and cost implications of project requirements, as well as keep all parties carefully updated throughout the build period.
The PM need to be able to manage in a large, matrixed organization to gain approvals, borrow resources, and tap talent and insights.
The PM should have three years experience leading a team of engineers and designers at a media property to build media products.
The PM should have deep familiarity with current web front end technologies.
The PM should be familiar with ad delivery technology, media distribution technologies, SEO, media metrics, affiliate revenue partnerships and integrations.
The PM should be able to function as a the team's project manager.
