Management of assigned product(s) including market research; financial analysis; product planning, development and implementation; and coordination of sales and marketing strategies, objectives and programs. Our partnerships include deep collaboration with Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Business teams.

Job Description Summary

Entry to mid- level product manager responsible for the management of digital platform maintenance, production defects (PD) and security findings. This includes research, triage and implementation; making recommendations to the agile tribe for prioritization. Reporting status on all items in maintenance, PD backlog and security to digital governance and product owners.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products.

  • Ensures all new and existing products and communication related to those products are in compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluates current economic conditions and advises management of possible impact on assigned products and services.

  • Collaborating with leadership to ensure product backlog represents a plan for increasing customer value over time through market differentiation and the delivery of great customer experiences across channels and touchpoints

  • Tracking and reporting customer and digital success metrics

  • Partnering closely with engineering, user experience, customer experience strategy, and design to ensure quality and consistency of experiences

  • Leveraging customer-centric thinking, discovery and research, rapid iteration, and lean practices to quickly validate backlog concepts

  • Managing product management activities by developing expertly defined stories, identifying and managing dependencies, ensuring research and design, following and enhancing processes, defining acceptance criteria and quality measures.

  • Acting as maintenance, PD and security backlog owner in agile/scrum product development or project owner in conventional product development, as needed

  • Gathers market intelligence so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur and the effects of competitive activity are minimized.

Other Job Duties

  • Recommends criteria for testing all user stories, reviews test results and recommends necessary alteration of testing of product.

  • Evaluates ideas for new products, investigates market opportunities and effect on market of present products, and recommends exploitation of economically attractive products.

  • Recommends new or revised products by researching, or directing research, of identified target markets to determine customer/prospect needs, acceptance, and probability of purchase.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience at a startup, fintech or digital industry

  • Understanding of experience product development concepts including product strategy

  • Experience with customer-facing desktop, web or mobile software product offerings, for either end users or internal users

  • Organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • A strong sense of urgency to help customers and the ability to identify insights and deliver quality work quickly

  • An attitude that includes being self-motivated, learning, and dead-set on optimizing

  • Thorough knowledge of product line assigned including operational aspects.

  • Analytical and research

  • Digital Bank product and service knowledge

  • Presentation skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, marketing or related business degree, MBA/MIS/MS desired

Work Experience

  • 5 years (minimum of 1 years relevant product management or product development experience working in a fast-paced, digitally-oriented environment related to consumer services, preferably in a regulated industry)

  • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your numbers

  • Experience in product development activities (including managing/partnering for what it takes beyond software development: research, operations, and communications)

The Team The Global Health Technology team ("Health Tech") is a new group created and based in San Francisco, CA (with presence at the company's headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ) to drive the strategic adoption of technology across J&J. The team is comprised primarily of experienced operating leaders from successful technology companies (e.g. Google, Dropbox, LinkedIn), and partners with commercial and R&D leaders across J&J's Consumer, Medical Devices and Pharma sectors to find opportunities to use technology to creatively address health and wellness challenges at global scale. The team develops the strategic and operational plans around those opportunities, and executes the applicable product, program, partnership, investment and acquisition needs. The Role Health Tech is looking to hire an extraordinary Digital Product Marketing Manager. In this role, you will be integral to building J&J's digital product strategy, vision, and brand, through launching transformative digital health software, hardware and experiences. You will develop and execute messaging and marketing strategies for new digital health solutions, owning launch plans from start-to-finish. You will work cross-functionally across Health Tech and J&J, and will lead external resources including digital marketing and branding agencies. As the CMO for any product or project you are working on, you will shape health technology solutions that touch billions of lives. Your marketing chops are second-to-none, built over years of experience at leading technology companies and/or digitally native brands. You can deftly shift between "big picture" critical thinking and "in the weeds" operational execution, and will jump in and roll up your sleeves to get things done wherever necessary. You are metrics and data-oriented, creative, passionate, extraordinarily organized, and a great communicator. This is a full-time position based at the Health Tech headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
