We're looking for an experienced product developer/manager based in New York to drive our product efforts across the PineBridge range of active and alternative funds in the US and Latin America. The role will report to the Global Head of Product, in London.

You will be asked to work across the entire product life-cycle, collaborating with colleagues across the Americas and the broader global product team. The focus of the role will be on improving and maximizing the funds and strategies offered by PineBridge today, and leading the launch of select new products and strategies over time.

Specifically, we'll ask you to:

  • Stay on top of the trends and opportunities in your market, producing timely, thoughtful and relevant competitive analysis and market research; use this research to inform decision making and drive revenue for PineBridge.

  • Proactively and critically assess - and where appropriate adjust existing funds, including pricing, positioning and operating models to ensure they remain market-leading products.

  • Launch new product in line with client, channel or regional needs. Balance the need to move swiftly with the highest standards of fiduciary care and governance.

  • Own the end-to-end process of fund launches, changes and closures.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across functions to understand differing points of view, then make recommendations and drive forward decisions.

  • Partner with with governance colleagues in Product, Legal and Compliance to help manage impact of regulatory change and contribute to effective and timely Board processes.

  • Manage product- and process-related risk by acknowledging, understanding, mitigating and/or eliminating it.

  • Build strong and robust relationships with both internal and external clients.

This role requires you to have strong leadership capabilities, a can-do attitude and lots of energy. Additionally, we would love you to be:

  • Experienced in all phases of the product life-cycle, from strategy through to launching new, and managing existing ranges. Knowledge of alternatives is desirable but not mandatory.

  • A lateral thinker and a good problem solver, with the flexibility to be adjust to the needs of a growing business with multiple priorities.

  • Collaborative, a strong communicator and someone who can work equally well across different teams, regions, and seniority.

  • A Spanish speaker; desirable but not a necessity.

  • Happy and motivated to work in a diverse, equal opportunities team environment.

  • Skilled and experience at using relevant fund information (Morningstar, Lipper, eVestment etc) and analytics platforms (Bloomberg).

What's the Role? This role will focus on continuously improving our data distribution technology to meet the needs of today's highly distributed enterprise applications, which consume and analyze large volumes of data. Working with cloud technologies and public cloud service providers will also be a part of this role. As a technical product manager will be responsible for developing strategies and working with engineering teams to deliver solutions that extend our market leading position in flexible distribution. Specific technology components include API's, messaging middleware, tools for monitoring system health, controlling access to content, and cloud. Key non-functional requirements for these components include reliability, scalability, high performance, and ease of use. You are a strategic thinker that seeks opportunities to get their hands dirty, have a passion for data, and believe that usability should apply to API's, CLI's, and tools for technologists just as much as web-based GUI's. We'll Trust you to: * Lead the delivery of new products and features that will be used by top capital markets firms. * Work alongside product management colleagues and engineers to define scope and solve highly complex problems in an agile environment. * Develop user stories and requirements that will lead to new products, new product features, or improve existing products. * Manage the delivery roadmap for your product area and evaluate strategy based on market trends and customer demand. * Represent Bloomberg to our customers, prospects, and vendor partners. * Communicate solutions and roadmaps via written collateral, meetings, and presentations. * Work with sales and client services teams, globally, to best position and support our solutions. You'll need to have: * A minimum of 3 years leading technology focused initiatives in the Financial Information industry. * Understanding of one or more of the following: API's, service oriented architectures, architecting for the web, or designing solutions for the cloud. * Some understanding of the financial markets and different needs of buy and sell side when dealing with systems and services that support the trade lifecycle. (e.g. trading and risk systems) * Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable to work in a non-hierarchical, large global organization where interaction with senior management is required. * Ability to assess the value add of an academically sound technical solution vs. a need to release commercial offerings in a timely fashion. We'd love to see: * Previous real-world coding experience in Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Node JS a plus. * Experience delivering commercial applications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
