Overview of Position

This role provides an opportunity to make a direct impact in the Dental space, working on new products and solutions that can improve Dental RCM and reduce cost to the provider and payer communities that we serve. Product owner will be interacting with the multi-disciplinary teams within the Dental business unit and has responsibility for clear communication of the solutions across departments. Finally, the successful candidate will collaborate efficiently and effectively with the current product management leadership team to influence the product roadmap for new and or enhanced functionality that solves market, regulatory, or competitive needs.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Collaborate with leadership to update/create compelling product roadmaps including product definition, solution design, delivery model for both payers and providers within the Dental RCM, Credentialing and EDI space.

  • Listens to market, customers, and internal stakeholders to translate needs into solution design artifacts, author user stories that are clear and concise. Shares artifacts with internal stakeholders for go-to-market decisions and execution.

  • Engage with solution / vendor partners to collaborate and design best of breed market solutions that jointly benefit Change Healthcare and partner while providing clients value.

  • Strong background in product management in the healthcare IT/medical imaging domain

  • Lead scrum ceremonies for the team and keep the team on track to enable predictive product delivery.

  • Perform business analysis and UAT activities for product development and enhancements.

  • Collaborates with Engineering to ensure successful implementation of portfolio vision.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 5+ years prior experience in product related functions in software industry, preferable in healthcare information technology.

  • 7+ years of experience with healthcare electronic data exchange and healthcare revenue cycle management.

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field; Master's Degree in computer science or business administration preferred.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Possess a strong technical background and able to learn & apply new topics quickly and efficiently.

  • SQL query building skills and inclination to learn technical workings of the product to provide clear and concise requirements to development team.

  • Experience with business analysis, product management and business process management.

  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

  • Prior experience working in an Agile, continuous software delivery environment.

  • Prior experience in electronic data interfaces and Revenue cycle management is preferable.

  • Solution oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up sleeves and tackle them.

  • Must be passionate about solving problems.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Less than 15%
