About Vouch:

Insurance... sounds slow, old-fashioned, and unexciting. Exactly. Insurance is broken, and it's failing fast-moving, innovative startups.

Vouch is a new, technology-first insurance company, backed with $70 million in funding from world-class investors. Like Stripe for payments or Brex for credit cards, Vouch is creating the go-to business insurance for startups.

We're doing this by making insurance fast, responsive, and focused on our customer - startup founders. Instead of printed PDF applications and week-long waits, Vouch is building new technology to solve real problems, writing policies that actually cover relevant startup scenarios, and designing simple experiences in an otherwise frustrating industry.

The Job:

Vouch is looking for a Product Manager, Data to join our team. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes data and gets excited about creating a data-driven decision making culture across all of our teams. You will shape the way product and business performance is measured, defining what questions should be asked, and scaling analytics methods and tools to support our growing business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identify external data sources that describe the insurable risks of startup businesses and work with data engineering to integrate them into our system

  • Team up with the insurance team to identify opportunities to improve our underwriting

  • Work with product and engineering to instrument the application, troubleshoot errors, and maintain data quality

  • Provide the team with automated dashboards and self-service reporting tools so that everyone gets a good sense of the state of the business

Nice to have

  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues to complete data projects and ensure all can use the insights to identify business opportunities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define success metrics, create approaches to track the data, evaluate the data, and communicate results

About You:

  • 5+ years industry experience

  • Proven track record of using data to create insight and achieve our goals

  • Fluency in data analysis and communication around data, including time series analysis, experimentation, data visualization, and defining KPI strategy for your business

  • A/B testing experience with an understanding of hypothesis testing and power analysis

  • Expert SQL skills--your ability to tap into our data pipeline will be key to your success

  • Familiarity with sales operations best practices

  • Plus: Track record of identifying and aggregating data sources

Vouch is proudly an equal opportunity employer and celebrates the diversity of its growing team.
