What will you be responsible for?

As (Sr.) Product Manager, reporting into the VP Products, you and your team will make sure our marketing intelligence product remains successful and extend it.

I help App Annie provide businesses the most complete insight to navigate in the global mobile ecosystem, by running and building out the smartest marketing intelligence product.

How will you be doing this?

  • Driving the product vision & strategy for our Marketing Intelligence product line and pitching this to VP's and our executive team.

  • Enthusiastically leading your team of developers & data scientists towards that vision with effective delivery.

  • Solve complex data problems across the entire pipeline, from data collection to machine learning data models to flexible data visualization.

  • Analyzing the usage of your product, measuring results, keeping up-to-date on the current market, listening to feedback from customers, work with data science on the next generation of algorithms and whatever else needs be to done to make your product more and more successful.

  • Breaking complex projects into smart minimum viable products, features, prototypes and iterations while deeply considering the larger business & strategic picture.

  • Saying 'no' a lot, to make your 'yes' stronger. Thousands of customers and 300+ App Anniers have a lot of ideas - you have to decide what to do now, soon or never, so the right things get done fast.

  • Benchmarking competitors and industry trends to inform product strategy.

  • Demoing cool new stuff & celebrating successes with your team.

  • Becoming better at what you do every day.

What should you bring to the party?

  • You're smart and are able to prove it.

  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience in (preferable b2b data related) product management

  • Energy and creativity are key characteristics that describe you and the projects you lead. You bring people, from cross-functional teams, together & make it happen. Boom!

  • You're a mobile & data fanatic, positively curious and a technology enthusiast.

  • You pose probing questions to quickly and fully understand what someone's talking about.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience vetting product-ideas through various testing methods (e.g. A/B testing and usability testing) and app analytics.

Professional Services is one of the post-sales departments involved in customer accounts. The DPM is responsible for delivering a production-ready analytics/reporting application for the customer. This role is a unique combination of a product owner, business analyst, and project manager. WHAT YOU'LL DO: The DPM's responsibilities and skill set are made up of the following categories: Project Management * Proactively communicate project risks, delays, priorities, and client's Services budget usage to internal and client stakeholders * Define scope and manage project resources (other members of the Professional Services team) + deliverables to ensure that engagements are completed on time and within budget Consulting * Conduct workshops with key client stakeholders to establish requirements for the analytic application * Ensure that clients' expectations are met throughout the implementation and upon completion of the project * Recommend best practices based on GoodData platform capabilities and industry standards whenever necessary Product Management * Understand clients' goals, articulates business requirements, and translates end-user needs into solution requirements * Collaborate effectively with the implementation team, which includes internal and client stakeholders: * Internal: data architect, data engineer, UX designer, visual designer, front-end (JavaScript/CSS) developer * External: Business Owner, Data Engineer, Business Analyst * Effectively prioritize work for the implementation team and features for the solution * Support customer in go-live/launch activities as needed (end-user training, marketing collateral, etc.) Technical Skills * Can analyze clients' data sets (basic SQL / Excel analysis) and tie them back to the business requirements, user stories, and UX wireframes * Experience with data visualization, information design, and prior experience in using business intelligence tools QUALIFICATIONS This role is best suited for someone who has 7+ years of work experience, a quantitatively-oriented degree from a top-tier school, and thrives in an analytical, product-oriented, and consultative role. You will also need the ability to work cross-functionally and be the champion for your customer. * BA/BS degree in a quantitatively oriented degree from a top-tier school; MBA is a plus * Previous experience in a consulting firm or customer-facing role at a tech company * Experience in managing multiple projects for clients/customers across various industries * Exceptional project management skills + familiarity with agile/scrum * Familiarity with product management and design thinking principles * Excellent presentation, listening, and writing skills * Self-directed with the ability to manage simultaneous engagements at the same time with minimal supervision * Ability to set and manage customer expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues * SQL proficiency Do you have the DNA to work in a fast moving, dynamic and exciting, well-funded hot start-up?
