Product Manager, Data and POS Ecosystem - U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to spearhead the development and management of shared data and Point-of-Sale (POS) ecosystem capabilities. This pivotal role will shape the POS ecosystem in the payment domain for Talech and U.S. Bank, fostering enterprise agility and enhancing cross-functional team missions. The ideal candidate will drive the creation of features, shared services, data capabilities, and shared interfaces that serve various small business segments, enabling seamless integrated experiences. Thriving in fast-paced environments, the successful candidate will excel at both business and technical product strategy and execution, demonstrating technical chops and ability to articulate broader business strategy and roadmap. Strong product planning and management skills at a cross-functional level are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product P&L Management: Oversee the profitability and performance of the POS ecosystem, connecting the roadmap to strategic investments, objectives, and key results.

  • Product Strategy, Vision, and Planning: Leverage market insights, customer needs, and business priorities to craft the technical and business product vision and value propositions. Align this vision with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap, investment priorities, and success metrics. Demonstrate technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of product architecture and the economics of technical investments.

  • Performance Measurement and Optimization: Utilize a range of performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Drive alignment across functions to optimize product strategy and execution. Own both business and technical product metrics.

  • Product Development: Spearhead product development initiatives, engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance speed to market and decision-making efficiency. Balance resources between new product development and the enhancement of existing products.

  • Channel Alignment and Management: Assess product performance across different segments to develop growth-driving solutions. Work collaboratively across channels to achieve product performance objectives.

  • Customer Experience Research, Insight, and Execution: Establish and maintain product-market fit by integrating customer insights, competitive analysis, and business objectives. Utilize research methods to deeply understand target customers and enhance product offerings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • Master's degree in a technical field or MBA highly desired.

  • Experience in product management, with a strong emphasis on developing shared capabilities, features, and data ecosystems. Demonstrated success in technical product management roles within SaaS, FinTech, or e-Commerce organizations is strongly desired.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategies that support cross-functional team missions and enhance enterprise agility by building scalable systems desired.

  • Experience working in large, complex, and fast-paced organizations, with the ability to navigate matrixed environments desired.

  • Strong technical acumen and forward-thinking vision, with the ability to understand and leverage product technical architecture for strategic advantage desired.

  • Experience in product lifecycle management from conception to launch, along with knowledge of product management tools and methodologies desired.

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a track record of using data to drive decision-making and product optimization desired.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving consensus across cross-functional teams and influencing key stakeholders desired.

  • Solid understanding of customer needs and market trends, with the ability to translate insights into actionable product strategies desired.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in building and scaling capabilities within a digital ecosystem, with exposure to B2B SaaS, retail, or Fintech domain preferred.

  • Prior experience in a startup environment, demonstrating the ability to operate with agility and innovate within a larger, fast-paced organization preferred.

  • Familiarity with financial services and understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting fintech & payments capabilities development in the banking sector preferred.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and leading highly technical cross-functional teams in a Scrum or Agile environment preferred.

  • Proven experience of working with technical teams and architects to shape product strategy and both business and technology vision preferred.

  • Leadership experience with direct and indirect teams, showcasing the ability to influence cross-functional product and technical teams without authority preferred.

  • Advanced skills in stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $128,435.00 - $151,100.00 - $166,210.00
