Description

Citibank North America's Consumer and Small Business Lending Product business provides secured and unsecured loans and lines of credit to meet the borrowing needs of consumers across their life stage. Core Consumer Lending products include installment loans, lines of credit, overdraft protection and Home Equity Loans/lines of credit, which collectively accounts for $6 Billion of ANR and is a significant portion of earnings of the US Retail Bank. Currently, the lending business is focused on re-shaping the product strategy and delivery, as well as designing a digital consumer borrowing experience with the aim of significantly increasing market share and doubling business revenue by 2019.

The Consumer Lending Program Management Analyst will report to the Marketing Product Manager and will work specifically on efforts to support the development efforts involved with building the new digital channel to increase originations of Lending volumes across lending products.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Management:

o Support the development efforts involved with building the new digital channel to increase originations of Lending volumes across lending products.

o Coordinate efforts across various functional areas and work with the digital and tech teams to deliver a truly remarkable customer experience.

o Responsible for project planning, product delivery and coordinating actions across functions on a day-to-day basis to ensure a timely delivery of the end solution.

Management Reporting:

o Prepare status reports and executive updates on key projects and initiatives

Research/Intelligence:

o Create competitive and market intelligence reports to inform product development strategy

o Identify key customer needs and usage and attitudes as basis for refining programs and messaging. Ensure the Bank's programs are differentiated and well positioned against national competitors.

Control Function Approvals and Collaboration

o Assist in preparation of documents and presentation for the Business Change Committee and CPAC committee (senior management) to gain approval for concept and launch.

o Work with Risk, Compliance, Legal, BISO/TISO offices to ensure documentation of appropriate controls such as TCF (Treating Customers Fairly), NPA (New Product Approval, with focus on AML), MCA (Manager's Control Assessment).

o Manage Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), audit resolutions and process improvements requiring technology support and drive operational excellence (regulatory compliance, operational risk management, etc.).

Financial & Data Analysis:

o Work with Finance, Risk, and DM to create portfolio analysis presentations to help the Business Manager understand portfolio trends and to develop growth strategies. Prepare and present findings to leadership and collaborate to translate findings into business decisions.

o Work with Finance to track project expenses and revenues against Plan and project IEP's.

Marketing Execution

o Partner with internal communications, marketing, digital and operation teams, and list processing partners to support new and existing customer communications.

o Provide creative / copy support, segmentation and list processing team support and actively manage timelines and dependencies.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in product management, product marketing or Business experience in Consumer Lending /Cards; Undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred.

    Ability to manage complex projects end to end - from concept/buy-in stage to post project implementation / follow through; management experience in a Digital environment a plus

    Understanding of key revenue and expense drivers. Ability to grasp and synthesize financial metrics around the product concepts as it relates to pricing, risk, sales trends and competitive information; Strong understanding of Consumer Risk and its impact on the Consumer Lending P&L

  • Analytics: Ability to conduct the necessary analysis to provide support for addressing the business problem and providing the basis for program strategy / execution. Uses data and facts to support decision making for senior managers.

  • Creativity: Innovating thinker and demonstrated ability to develop a range of alternative solutions; proven ability to close unforeseen gaps in business results

  • Professional Maturity: Ability to work with multiple business partners, build positive cross-functional relationships, and act independently as a representative of the Lending Products team. Strong sense of accountability and ownership

  • Teamwork: Strong team player ability to forge productive working relationships with Finance, Decision Management, Risk Management, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Legal and Compliance.

  • Communication: strong ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face situations as well as in written communications.

  • Digital: Experience working with online lending platforms / new technologies desirable
