Product Manager, Butterfly Valves

As a Product Manager, you will be part of global Butterfly Valve Product Line defining the product strategy and offering guidelines that best support the growth plans in target areas.

Expectations

To excel in the role you will:

• Promote products and supply technical expertise to sales, distributors, reps and customers as the expert on butterfly valves.

• Plan and conduct product sales presentations and seminars to prospective customers.

• Provide technical assistance as required for the preparation of butterfly valve quotations and proposals.

• Arrange product training to sales, distributors, reps and internal organization for effective application of our products.

• Interact with engineering to determine actions required to correct field problems arising out of product failure or misapplication.

• Establish both short and long-term product strategies.

• Develop the product offering according to the strategy in cooperation with other stakeholders. Release new products and product features to the market.

• Interact with manufacturing organization to ensure timely and adequate supply of products. Improve the product availability based on the market needs.

• Evaluate and initiate further development of the product availability at the distributors.

• Continuously monitor product cost level and pricing and take needed actions to ensure our competitive position.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in suitable technical field or equivalent background

• Experience in process industry, industrial equipment, channeling industrial products to market and industrial product sales

• 7-10 years of related experience

• Background in product management is highly appreciated, and knowledge of butterfly valves is considered a plus.

• Agile way of working combined with systematic approach.

• Ability to handle diversified tasks simultaneously and achieving set targets with respecting the deadlines.

• Excellent networking and communication skills.

The position includes travel approximately 10% of the time. Must be 18 years of age and can legally work in the U.S.
