Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. As a Product Manager on Square Capital, you will design and build our lending products. You will be focused on helping sellers by understanding and meeting their financing needs for several use cases, by creating simple, transparent and fair financial products that expand access to sellers that need it the most. By collaborating closely with designers, engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional team members within the organization, you will oversee the end-end development of products that amaze and delight our users. You will:

  • Build an understanding and empathy with our customers

  • Identify market opportunities and competition, build business cases and determine product strategy

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from planning to execution

  • Communicate progress on initiatives to cross-functional partners

You have:

  • 7+ years of product management experience or equivalent

  • Customer empathy and experience shaping product direction based on customer needs

  • Experience shipping and iterating on successful products at scale, with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated leadership, the ability to guide product strategy and build consensus with senior engineers and designers

  • Commitment to continuous improvement with the ability to take an idea and bring it to life independently

As a Product Analyst, you'll work with Google's Human Capital Management (HCM) system and focus on implementing system improvements and providing support by resolving customer challenges and inquiries. Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 2 years of HCM, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), or similar experience. Preferred qualifications: * Workday HCM and Absence Management certification. * Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) HR system configuration. * Ability to work across geographies and different regulatory environments. * Ability to analyze and understand complex problems and their resulting dependencies. * Manage the day-to-day functionality of Google's Human Capital Management (HCM) system and assume responsibility for high-quality support and continuous improvement of the system. * Manage specific system processes, including configuration, documentation, testing and security with cooperation and communication with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Legal, HR Business Partners, Staffing, and Corporate Engineering). * Maintain an understanding of the product and the underlying, global business processes in order to predict downstream implications of challenges and system changes and allow for effective troubleshooting. * Provide customer-friendly handling and resolution of user inquiries, questions, and problems, auditing of process data, analysis and resolution of problems and special cases, training and communication with Operations, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders. * Work with vendor customer support team to resolve all escalations that cannot be resolved by Product Analyst team.
