Job Title: Product Manager (B2B Experience)
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: Long-term

Mandate: B2B integration experience 3rd party integration platform knowledge

Leads product definition and prioritization by working with business stakeholders, developers, and internal/external customers
Responsible for developing, defining and owning the product vision and strategy with knowledge of B2B EDI.
Identify and propose enhancements to improve the manual process .
Effectively collaborate and communicate product roadmap, project status, sprint reviews, and issues to accounting operations, executive management, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Participates/facilitates agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Demonstrations and Retrospectives
Engages the development teams on agile values, principles and practices
Maintains feature backlog and life cycle of features from inception to completion
Assists with risk, change and dependency management
Delivers business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups/demos, etc
Assist with developing/clarifying the business case and prioritization of features and enhancements
Manages User Requirements sets
Authors User level requirements
Prioritize Requirements
Build upon requirements models
Grooms and prioritizes User Story backlog
Understanding of roles and responsibilities in the agile software development environments
Understanding of web application and web service product architectures and basic features

Facilitation skills: Ability to facilitate meetings and requirements definition and be a liaison between internal/external customers, developers and stakeholders
Analytical skills: Detail oriented with ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
Organizational skills: Ability to work with the vast array of information gathered during requirements analysis and to exercise flexibility with changing business priorities
Interpersonal skills: Ability to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among representatives from various business and development teams
Team skills: Works well with others; delivers positive energy to their team
Time Management skills: Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and consistently meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
Modeling skills: Ability to represent requirements in graphical forms that clarify and augment written requirements

Bachelors degree or related experience preferred
At least five years of Product Manager experience
Knowledge thats a Plus:
Experience working with globally distributed scrum teams
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or other Agile/Scrum certifications
Requires general business skills, industry knowledge on distribution, logistics, and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence
Experienced in Agile tools like TFS or Jira

Job Duties: * Communicates effectively both orally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. * Observes performance and encourages improvement. * Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and administers disciplinary procedures for front office staff. * Monitors all guest arrival and departure points to ensure highest levels of guest service and makes staffing adjustments as required. * Manages all scheduling, and training programs of the Front Desk and Hospitality Services Agents. * Monitors employee performance and encourages improvement. * Creates and delivers daily pre-shifts and training topics. * Interacts positively with customers and takes action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of parties involved. * Handles customer complaints and participates in hotel quality forum focusing on continuous improvement. * Uses guest name in a natural manner to ensure warm and personalized service. * Implements resolutions by using discretion and judgment. * Reviews VIP reservations and ensures proper handling of VIPs and groups, administers amenity orders, and resumes for incoming guests. * Updates system by inputting inventory and non-inventory groups. * Monitors special reservation requests handling and oversees rate changes on in-house guests. * Computes daily payroll, schedules, and other reports. * Prepares for daily arrivals a minimum of 3 days out to ensure credit challenges are avoided. * Partners with Finance department to address credit challenges. * Develops individual and team agendas focusing on operational efficiency, quality improvement and or financial benefits. * Manages executive office projects by directing staff and monitoring progress as required. * Acts as a department representative to all other departments and contacts in the absence of the department head. * Plans, presents and implements training modules and supporting components to ensure all front office employees are kept up with latest customer service techniques and tools. * Monitors training and employee's progresses to ensure 5 Star/ 5 Diamond standards are implemented and followed. * Participates in all necessary training as directed by Pelican Hill. * Ensures all brand standards are adhered to daily. * Interacts positively with team members to foster team spirit and loyalty. * Seeks opportunities to ensure customer loyalty. * Prepares team for Mystery Shops. * Attends and participates in meetings to ensure the success of Pelican Hill. * Communicates hotel information with management and staff to provide seamless service. * Conducts pre-shifts meetings, utilizes pass on, sends emails and leaves voicemail on important hotel information. * Communicates openly with the Front Office Manager on changes within the department. Minimum Qualifications: * College Degree in Hotel or Business Administration or a related field preferred. * High School Diploma required. * Minimum two to three (2-3) years supervisory or management experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment. * Experience in selecting, hiring, training and supervising department staff. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner. * Excellent organizational, time management and strong analytical and computer skills.
