Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Product Manager to join our Digital Help - Content & Contribution team. This role will assess, plan and drive ongoing improvements to our self-help experiences online, including components of the Autodesk Knowledge Network website. This is a strategic role that partners closely with business stakeholders and our content strategy and engineering teams to deliver results and drive customer satisfaction.


  • Deeply understand Autodesk's digital help experience mission and strategies, help clarify business priorities for the cross-functional team, set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals

  • Relentlessly drive for continual product improvements and deliver results that exceed quality expectations

  • Integrate usability studies, customer feedback, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance customers satisfaction

  • Work closely with user experience design and engineering teams to refine, test and build experiences

  • Define, monitor and analyze metrics for launched product functionalities and feed learnings back into product development process

  • Develop 2-3-quarter product feature roadmap. Prioritize (and re-prioritize) work against roadmap

  • Closely collaborate with key business stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as a product manager working on a customer facing experiences

  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Strong understanding of usability best practices, information architecture principles, and A/B testing

  • Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an online customer support or learning space

  • Knowledge of Site Catalyst and Test & Target

  • Strategic thinker with high level of business acumen

  • Understands the ownership of the product and is accountable for its results

  • Strongly competent in product planning

  • Driven by results and metrics

  • Ability to lead a team of technical resources and business people to create product enhancements customers need and love

  • Flexible in the face of obstacles and able to solve complex problems creatively

  • Able to "sell" changes internally and be a product evangelist

  • Confidence to dive in and learn new solutions and processes without a lot of assistance

  • Ability to cope with a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Solid technical and competitive landscape knowledge

This person will focus on Ion Torrent's assays and consumables. S/he will be responsible for development of product strategy, product definition, positioning, and product lifecycle management. This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external personnel and will require direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach. Strong business and customer focus are essential. Effectiveness in this role requires the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing product development and marketing plans, and a general knowledge of operating plans as well as industry practices for developing, promoting and selling similar products. The Product Manager must exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, and is able to synthesize a decisive path forward based on all available information. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others and conduct presentations of technical information. Responsibilities: * Develops marketing plans and market research. * Owns revenue goals for his/her product line. * Manages inventory, pricing, customer communications and revenue forecasts. * Manages worldwide supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for product portfolio. * Updates and presents forecasts regularly to management, finance, and manufacturing teams. * Analyzes market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy. * Identifies opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation. * Leads new product development process from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition, manage product launches and sales training. * Works collaboratively with other members of client team to drive growth for the business segment. Education: * Bachelors or Master's degree or higher in Biology or Chemistry; PhD or MBA highly desirable.
