Armstrong Flooring has an exciting career opportunity for a Product Manager, Associate, internally referred to as an Associate Product Manager. The Product Manager, Associate reports directly to the Director of Commercial Product Management. Our Product Managers achieve strategic revenue objectives and participate in product planning and design to ensure products are successfully launched and differentiated from our competition. Product Owners manage and support full product life-cycle, conception, definition, development, launch and post-launch activities.

Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 - temporarily working remote due to COVID
Product Manager, Associate Salary:
$80,000 - $110,000, based on experience (Gr. 11)

How youll contribute to the team:

  • Develop product specifications that represent what our customers want.
  • Work with Project Managers in New Product Development to develop and launch new products and line extensions that are aligned with our strategic plans.
  • Working with Sales to obtain and evaluate competitive and market research and making product recommendations.
  • Evaluating requests for product changes and enhancements and making decisions based on what's best for the customer in a cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers to develop strategies and tactics for the successful marketing of products, including new product launches and re-positioning of current products.
  • Assist in developing annual strategic product and operating plans.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to develop budgets for product line marketing initiatives and to ensure achievement of sales operating plans for the product line.
  • Visit customer locations to promote the products and give presentations.
  • 10-20% travel.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Business Administration degree, Marketing degree, Finance degree, or similar discipline; Bachelor's
  • 2+ years experience with product management
  • Experience with new product development
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with customers and a highly matrix internal organization
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills
