About the Role:
This role will be responsible for AD quality, which covers back-end systems related to Cerberus (a workflow management engine), Ad Feedback, content & risk classifiers, working across other platform team at Yahoo to integrate their technologies, integrating 3rd party tech like google safe browsing, etc. The role requires working closely with all platforms - demand and supply and business teams across regions. The role also requires working closely with 3rd party vendors like IntegralAds, Moat, DoubleVerify, etc.
Key requirements of the role:
Problem solver: The candidate must be a problem solver.
This is core to Trust & Verification, and 9 out of 10 times, the product owner has to be proactive with respect to the changing ecosystem and come up with innovative solutions to address the challenges. Its very rare in this role that you find of-the-shelf solutions.
Tech savvy: The candidate must have a deep understanding of either (a) Ad systems or (b) Quality and Fraud.
Since its is hard to find someone with both skills, I am fine with the candidate having one of these while the other can be learnt on the job. He/she is required to have a inquisitive mind and constantly updating himself with the latest in the relevant tech and vendor capabilities.
Get into the weeds: The candidate must be extremely data driven and is expected to have basic database query skills, so that he/she can analyze data himself and not be dependent on others to perform his analysis.
Work with cross-functional teams: The candidate must be able to coordinate and work with multiple cross-functional teams and drive priorities across all of them by presenting a valid business case.
