Product Management, Director - VR Spatial Systems & Foundations

The Quest platform is spatial at its core. As we are expanding Quest system capabilities into mixed reality and blending the physical and virtual worlds, we need to evolve our platform to enable new ways of interacting across virtual and blended experiences.

New capabilities to understand your space, interact with your space, manipulate virtual objects in your space, traverse between virtual and mixed reality experiences seamlessly, and scale the platform to enable partners and developers to take advantage of these capabilities. We will need to evolve the Quest platform to become the next-generation spatial computing platform and redefine how a user can interact with their space. The Spatial Systems & Foundations Director will drive the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap of Quest System Foundation and Spatial systems platform building system capabilities that push forward 3D spatial interaction and enable seamless blending of real and virtual spaces.

Product Management, Director - VR Spatial Systems & Foundations Responsibilities

• Identify product opportunities and drive vision, strategy, and roadmap of a spatial system platform and driving system capabilities that enable new spatial interaction paradigms.

Understand Meta and Reality Labs' strategic and competitive position to deliver industry-leading products aligned with our mission.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate deep subject matter expertise into broader systems thinking and scalable platform capabilities. Some of these include window management / display management architecture, inputs methods and object manipulation, spatial awareness and understanding, spatial realism and construction among others.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to balance the needs between near-term quality improvements and long-term platform upgrades.

Incorporate data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategy and roadmaps.

Define and analyze metrics that measure product success and drive ongoing performance improvements.

Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers while building team health.

Empower and accelerate the organization in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

Minimum Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Design
  12+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams

8+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior leaders

Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience

Experience presenting to senior executive audiences

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consumer focused technology company

Experience building 0-1 products, platform/ecosystem products, or marketplaces

$249,000/year to $323,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
