What Product & Services Development contributes to Cardinal Health
Product and Services Development is responsible for researching, developing, and launching new products for the company. Responds to company initiatives by driving new products to meet customer needs.
Analyzes market research, trends, projections and innovations to formulate new product concepts and designs.
Demonstrates the knowledge to define the business dynamics necessary to consider portfolio expansion including market size, barriers to entry, differentiated value, regulatory assessment and existing portfolio alignment.
Possesses the expertise to establish and/or coordinate a commercialization strategy to include product proforma, branding and sales strategies, communication vehicles, training and pilot site deployment.
Consults with vendor/supplier partners as required for product development.
Operationalizes product launch with coordination of broader customer engagement.
Uses project management skills to manage projects from initiation through closing to successfully meet project objectives.
Manage retail independent and acute outpatient classes of trade to include maintaining a healthy pipeline of Cardinal Inventory Manager (CIM) prospects, management of existing accounts, and ensuring overall class of trade specific implementation goals are met
Responsible for managing the development of and executing on overall CIM marketing strategy for retail independent and acute outpatient classes of trade
Owns product manager responsibility over IT roadmap to ensure feature development aligns with class of trade specific goals
Manages at least 4 direct reports
Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, sales, and sales training
Drive market penetration by building and maintaining relationships with the Independent Sales Force (ISF) & Innovative Delivery Solutions (IDS) sales teams
Collaborate with sales training team to drive awareness and comprehension of CIM in the retail independent and acute outpatient spaces, ensuring that sales team(s) are comfortable presenting and supporting the program
Leverage relationships across broader customer solutions team to identify synergies and drive operational efficiency
Some travel required
