GROUP DESCRIPTION

In Knowles' Intelligent Audio division, located in Mountain View, CA, we complement Knowles' leading position in micro-acoustic transducers with deep expertise in audio and sensor processing, machine intelligence algorithms and the development of low-power SoCs to enable cutting-edge audio capabilities in smartphones, tablets, hearing aids and other consumer and medical devices.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This critical role is responsible for developing the strategic plans for Intelligent Audio solutions focused on the Mobile market segment. The position is focused on developing an intimate understanding of the technologies, products, customers, and partners, working closely with hardware and software engineering and application teams as well as field sales teams to effectively expand our Intelligent Audio business. This individual will be responsible for defining, managing and executing to the segment strategic plans.

  • Develop and execute on the Mobile segment strategy for the company.

  • Lead the research of market trends and use-cases, target market segments and customers for Intelligent Audio voice and audio processing hardware and software/algorithm solutions.

  • Define and communicate product and system solution roadmaps including developing supporting business cases to influence direction. Presenting strategies to key leaders and technologists to influence decisions and direction.

  • Create go-to-market strategies and execution of key collateral and deliverables for Intelligent Audio new solutions.

  • Define third-party partnerships necessary to achieve rapid development and market penetration to support the segment strategy.

  • Work closely with the sales organization to define and execute customer plans, managing key customer projects and support actions for Intelligent Audio product line to maximize ROI and revenue.

  • Assist in defining innovative product attributes to create product differentiation. Collaborate with other product lines to create solutions that leverage other Knowles products to deliver differentiated value propositions.

  • Support life cycle management of near-term productization and long-term product road map plans aligned to company directives and market segment strategies.

  • Obtain feedback from key customers and field teams to feedback into product and technology road maps and to determine optimal product development plans for success.

KEY QUALIFICATION

  • Experienced professional able to demonstrate proven success in marketing solutions, ideally with strong technical audio background with architecture understanding a plus.

  • Development or application engineering experience in digital signal processing is highly preferred

  • Excellent and thorough communications and presentation skills

  • Experienced working in cross-functional and matrix organizational settings, collaborating closely with both engineering and field sales teams.

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to think tactically and strategically.

  • Outstanding hands-on execution capabilities with keen attention to details.

  • Understanding of and tuning to sense of urgency and priorities.

  • Possesses a can-do attitude and strong drive to succeed in a highly competitive market.

  • Thrives in highly dynamic, agile, and fast-paced environments.

  • Enjoys multi-tasking and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
