Eaton's Industrial Sector is hiring a Product Line Director. This position requires 25% travel. No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Fort Worth, TX, Irvine, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Grand Rapids, MI, Jackson, MS, Euclid, OH, Beachwood, OH, or North Charleston, SC to be considered. This position is part of Eaton's Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for developing the product line strategic plan in line with FMCs strategic goals, and for establishing a roadmap for growth. This is to include development of the global Product Line Footprint plan.

  • Responsible for coordinating the Technology Development Strategy for Product Line and for exploring Eaton technology developments with the customer base to determine applicability for continuing development, and ensure new products are maturing at the appropriate Manufacturing Readiness Level and Technical Readiness Level.

  • Responsible for managing customer relationships and coordinating with Commercial, Engineering, Program Management, and Quality issues with pre-production business.

  • Coordinate the review of new opportunities and schedule go / no go decision forum with Sales and Marketing and Commercial relative to tactical and strategic objectives and categorize accordingly.

  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting new opportunities, quotes, proposals, new product intake, trend and margin analysis across all geographical locations that comprise the product line or product family. Responsible for defining, articulating and directing sales coverage requirements for new and existing business.

  • Working closely with Sales and Commercial the PLM will partner with to ensure timely completion of customer technical and commercial enquiries, proposal responses. This will include the coordination of proposal activity with Sales, Marketing Engineering and Operations functions.

  • Engage Supply chain and aid the coordination of processes such as major source changes, or cost reduction and follow up on contract proposals / quotes to identify and abate risks to ensure seamless transition that meets product technical, financial, and other requirements

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver product recurring cost savings in line with original business plan, current profit plan, and achieve cost savings required to maintain market share

  • Responsible for performing and reporting intake and trend analysis on new and existing business across all geographical locations that comprise the Product Line or product family

  • Manage implementation of major product design changes to fit, form, or function, to ensure adequate production overlap-plan, reduce obsolescence, and abate financial/business impact

  • Responsible for understanding and acting on market drivers to develop new products, optimize existing products across all geographic locations.

  • Responsible for Identifying key functional team members, implement rhythm, and apply EBS principles to deliver increase level of product performance and results. Develop method to capture key action items and ensure timely completion to meet customer and business commitments.

  • Retain, hire and develop team of Product Sales managers to appropriately delegate key responsibilities around new business capture and product line management

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 7 years in engineering, sales, marketing and/or product management

  • Aerospace industry experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the aerospace market, Eaton's products, customers, and competitors.

  • Understanding of Hydraulic & Actuation systems and associated products, including how these systems and products integrate into the larger Air Vehicle system

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
