General Summary

Act as business focal point within IS organization for all cabinet and enclosures solutions. Enhance CommScope's market leadership within global wireless carriers/operators by anticipating customer needs along their path toward network densification and centralized RAN, and helping to develop architectures and solutions to address. Collaborate across business and technical functions, both within both CMS as well as CCS, to ensure the broadest solution set.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain executive interface with customer and CommScope senior management, developing and providing presentations on product strategy including support for new product development, customer needs, critical success factors, and other project planning components with the goal to grow revenue

  • Provide guidance to customers regarding cost effective and appropriate technologies utilizing the breadth of CommScope products

  • Anticipate customer needs and drive business requirements to deliver compelling solutions that fill product/feature gaps.

  • Proactively approach the market to anticipate customer needs around technology, network architecture and densification to address the Macro site of the future, Metro Cell, and CRAN solutions.

  • Develop and establish solution roadmap to address emerging edge computing market, especially as it relates to telecom space. Drive thought leadership in this critical growth area.

  • Direct the progress of product development through the development process from product concept, design, and prototype to release, to manufacturing and to order fulfillment to ensure efficient manufacturing process. Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.

  • Review financial statements and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

  • Regional/multisite P&L management accountability.

  • International and domestic travel up to 35%

Education & Related Experience

  • Bachelor's in related curriculum such as Engineering, Computer Science with 15 Years of Related Experience OR, Master's in related curriculum such as Engineering, Computer Science with 8 Years of Related Experience.

  • Product development experience - concept to implementation

  • Experience with emerging technology - mechanical and/or electrical

  • Experience with regional/multi-site P&L management accountability
