Principal Product Manager for the AWS DeepRacer League
The AI Devices team within AWS is responsible for setting the AI strategy and delivering devices that support ML at the edge for AWS customers and developers. Today, the team delivers AWS DeepLens and AWS DeepRacer.
As the Principal Product Manager for the AWS DeepRacer League, you will be part of the larger product leadership community at AWS. This community plays a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire talented team of PMs and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly. You will be seen as the subject matter expert for your area of focus within Amazon AI.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role launching and growing the AWS DeepRacer League globally. You will deal with demanding customers and pressing deadlines but that just keeps things interesting. You'll have exceptional problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams. You should have proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and be excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry defining. This position requires some technical background, and you should be customer-focused with a passion for the cloud and information technology. Past experience with machine learning is a plus, but not required. Also a plus but not required, is familiarity and a passion for auto racing.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Supporting and shepherding customer interactions around machine learning
Engaging with teams to define expectations while balancing conflicting demands and inflexible timelines
Contributing to the vision, product strategy and road map for a range of products and working with key stakeholders in the company to deliver on that vision, e.g. sales, partner team, team leaders, etc.
Defining product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of Amazon specific capacity, performance, and functionality demands
Communicating relevant roadmap updates to interested parties
Establishing goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success
Research and identify new opportunities for AWS to innovate on behalf of our customers
