ABOUT THIS JOB
LiveRamp products generate petabytes of data. This data contains valuable information which is used to build secondary products, fuel intelligence on our product for both product development and client dashboards as well as satisfy regulatory requirements. The data engineer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the systems that keep this data available, accurate and accessible by those that need it. Key stakeholders are the LiveRamp Product team who seek to make data-driven decisions, the technical services team who rely on up to date data to support our customers and the engineering teams who generate the data. You will become an expert in how our products work and how customers use them. You will find creative ways to simulate changes, and measure the results. You will own internal data models and work with other engineering teams to implement them.
Work with LiveRamp architects to design and develop company wide data models
Use GCP services to build out efficient infrastructure & processes that allow LiveRamp teams to access to the data they need quickly and efficiently
Work with Product Managers, Engineers and Analysts to recommend ways to track key metrics
Assist Product Managers in designing data products that we can expose to our customers
Use your product and system knowledge to make recommendations for product and architectural improvements
Work with Product Managers to track reliability of their products.
Work with Product Analysts to efficiently expose data for product reliability and health via downstream dashboards.
03+ years experience designing and implementing interfaces and infrastructure for large volume services and RESTful APIs
03+ years experience architecting and implementing real time logging and monitoring systems for complex products and workflows using platforms like Kafka, ElasticSearch, LogDNA, DataDog, New Relic, (use a subset of the list)
03+ years experience building ETL pipelines using cloud providers like AWS or GCP (ideally GCP)
Broad knowledge of big data tech stacks and interested in learning new technologies
Extensive experience with data processing platforms such as Hadoop, Spark
Expert experience in building, maintaining, optimising and querying relational databases Experience with BigQuery is a plus.
Proficient in Java. Bonus if proficient in Go or Python
Understand how to optimise cloud resources to efficiently store and retrieve petabytes of data
Comfortable working cross-functionally and delivering projects that require cooperation from other teams
Ability to communicate to non-technical stakeholders
