Position Location: Hanson, KY
Reports To: Product Flow Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
The primary function of this position is to delegate tasks and supervise associates to ensure timely and accurate product flow. This includes working with Product Flow Managers by supporting production goals and managing associates in their assigned area
Coordinates daily functions with Product Flow Managers.
Acts as a back-up for the Product Flow Managers.
Coordinates the day to day operations on the production floor with the Production Supervisors.
Facilitates the performance management process with reporting staff with support from the Product Flow
Managers. Provides coaching, counseling and development for direct reports.
Assigned as a mentor to selected Production Supervisors to train and develop leadership skills and promote succession planning.
Drives a safe work environment to ensure employee safety and product integrity.
Prepares daily work flow and staffing demands and communicates to Product Flow Managers and Production Supervisors to meet established production goals.
Investigates problems in the work area and is responsible for timely reporting of problems to appropriate personnel
Monitors staffing demands and makes necessary adjustments when appropriate
Supports Product Flow Managers by meeting production goals, such as units per hour (UPH), order throughput, order accuracy, and cost per unit (CPU).
Maintains confidentiality at all times with information obtained while performing job responsibilities.
Adheres to and communicates company policy and procedures to Production Supervisors.
Conforms to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers
Assist in establishing and maintaining safety, housekeeping and preventative maintenance guidelines.
Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with both internal and external customers
Verbally communicates with Product Flow Managers and Production Supervisor III's to provide details for ongoing tasks/projects and to maintain and monitor cleanliness/safety by visually observing the departments current status.
Accurately maintain all necessary paperwork by reporting and documenting timely, this includes but is not limited to: workforce, attendance, incident reports, and near misses.
Adheres to and understands the current labor agreement contract.
Actively support Production Supervisor by assisting, answering and being readily available.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required
5 years Supervisory experience required
Intermediate Computer Skills required
Microsoft Office experience with knowledge of Word and Excel preferred
Previous experience in a Distribution environment required
Available to work any shift:
1st shift Monday-Thursday 5:00am to 3:00pm
2nd shift Monday-Thursday 4:00pm to 2:00am
3rd shift Friday-Sunday 5:00am to 5:00pm
4th shift Friday-Sunday 5:00pm to 5:00am
Moderate Lifting (30-40 lbs.)
