Product Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Summary:

Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and engineering changes. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements:

• Develop and implement tooling, process, product documentation/process instructions required for the System Integration in the fast pace environment.

• Develop Manufacturing Process Instructions with sufficient details to support repeatable and consistent manufacturing process and train personnel responsible for product integration.

• Coordinate DOEs, PFMEAs , time study, and other process improvement related projects, and write reports.

• In concert with Quality organization, ensures that customer requirements are implemented and met.

• Configure BOM's/routings in accordance with the product structure and submit/approve through the ECO in Agile system.

• Provide DFA/DFM feedback to customers and post build reports.

• Design the system integration line layout and equip line with required tooling and fixtures. Support new product introduction.

• Analysis of quality data and root causing toward problem resolution

• Ability to improve or develop processes and effectively train technicians for test and troubleshooting.

• Participate in design review and verification/validation of new equipment and process.

• Maintain test fixtures to adequately test the Unit Under Test (UUT) according to the customer specifications.

Education and Experience:

• BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience supporting system integration or equivalent .

• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

• Must be detail oriented, team player, flexible and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Familiar with Lean initiative. Lean Six Sigma certification and/or training desired.

• Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving skills preferred.

• Familiar with the industry standards, such as ISO 9001.
