The Product Engineer, System Integration will be responsible for systems integration activities through all phases of developing a complex medical robotic system. The engineer will lead system design changes, risks retirement of new parts, verification including certification testing to medical device standards, troubleshooting, onsite field support, and complaint investigation. We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a passion to push the boundaries of medical robotics.
A Day In The Life Of Product Engineer, System Integration:
Develop a deep understanding of the whole robotic system (cart focus) and related systems and subsystems
Own design changes of all OTS electrical components within the system
Perform integration and preliminary tests for new parts to retire risks
Lead certification to IEC 60601-1 and related standards
Ensure the device's electrical safety and participate in risk management activities. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (RoHS)
Lead the execution of system related test cases, results analysis and reports generation.
Conduct root cause analysis for issues in design and manufacturing.
Provide onsite support, system installation and troubleshooting
Own documentation of all changes through the PLM system.
Work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast paced start-up environment with minimal supervision and guidance.v
About You:
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
At least 3 years experience in the medical device industry.
Experience with system/electrical troubleshooting, be detail-oriented and willing to find the root causes of the problem with good engineering practice
Have certified at least one complex electromechanical product IEC 60601 family of standards, including design and testing for EMC and electrical safety.
Understanding of risk management systems and how they impact product development processes.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Demonstrated basic project management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
