Job Description

Under direct supervision, assists in supporting the engineering functions for a product or a product family from design through production and transfer.

  • Communicates with other engineering functions including design, process, production, quality, and reliability.

  • Assists in analyzing production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached.

  • Assists in creating design specifications for a variety of components and systems.

  • Analyzes design problems using engineering and mathematical principles.

  • Makes design change recommendations and prepares preliminary sketches for guidance of layout drafters.

  • Consults with other engineers concerning design specifications, manufacturing processes, legal, safety, and government requirements.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.

Developing understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with analytical and CAD software. Requires some knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Job Description Advanced Distributor Products has an immediate opening for a smart, talented engineer within our Advanced Engineering Team. This is a full-time position at our 360,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Grenada, MS. The business produces a $250 Million revenue stream and competes globally through rapid implementation of innovation and high-technology within its products and manufacturing operation. Key responsibilities include: * Plans, designs, purchases, and/or implements integrated manufacturing assembly or fabrication processes in a manufacturing plant. * Determines the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. * Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance; recommends solutions or enhancements. * Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production; trains line employees on new processes and methods. * Work to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally. * Help define manufacturing standard working methods * Supports capital acquisition and capacity planning and change control. * Coaches and mentors less experienced Manufacturing Engineers. * Other duties and responsibilities as directed Qualifications Qualified candidates should possess: * BS in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical). * GPA 2.8 or greater. * 3-5 years' experience. * Sheet Metal fabrication experience required. * Skills in: * Fundamentals of Manufacturing * Fundamentals of Industrial Engineering * Problem solving & Quality improvement * Operator workstation design * Fundamentals of Ergonomics * Fundamentals of Controls Engineering * LEAN, 6-SIGMA, KAIZEN certification and experience preferable Lennox International Grenada MS
