Responsibilities: Under guidance of supervisor(s), the product engineer will

  • Work with design, test and manufacturing engineers to develop product test procedures, gather and analyze data, and characterize device functionality.

  • Develop, debug, and maintain software for automated test systems on high density Flash Memory products.

  • Provide hardware development, including design, acquisition, validation, and qualification of interface boards.

  • Interface with customers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and maintenance providers.

  • Apply lab results and analysis to implement effective and cost-efficient mass production solutions.

  • Work with off-shore foundries and test facilities to resolve manufacturing problems (which may include some travel.)

Requirements:

  • Education: BSEE or related field is required; advanced degree in related field is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in C++ or similar high-level language is a plus.

  • Experience with lab bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.

  • Previous work using and programming any memory test systems (e.g. Nextest or Advantest, Verigy, etc.) is preferred.

  • 0 - 3 years semiconductor product or test experience is required.

Contribute to the FMECA process. * Participate in or own first chamber Build & Test in Apps lab. Solve issues, or work with Engineering to address issues identified. Participate in or own CAPA process. Conduct or facilitate Failure Analysis (FA) if needed * Develop and document procedures to install (start-up), retrofit and maintain the product (Technical Product Manuals) * Develop new procedures, Customer Engineering Notices (CENs), Internal Service Bulletins (ISBs) and troubleshooting guides as required * Collect process and qualification data to create product Best Known Methods (BKMs) * Develop initial training package for new products and work with Global Technical Training (GTT) to develop training class.
