Job Description:

Arconic is currently in search of a Product Engineer, to join our Kawneer business in Norcross, GA.

Kawneer is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic's global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The Product Engineer manages all aspects of product development including project management, engineering analysis, standards, specifications, testing, certification, statistical analysis, and manufacturing.


  • The Product Engineer will work in a collaborative environment across several internal and external resources and is the technical interface between product development and the manufacturing environment.

  • Product manage new product development through design and implementation

  • Provide guidance to new product development design

  • Develop test plans to meet applicable standards

  • Participate in the development of standards for the industry

  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external engineering resources.

  • Support test unit installation, interpret test procedures, and understand test outcomes

  • Perform structural analysis utilizing engineering principles and software

  • Utilize project management principles and practices

  • Collaborate within a team environment toward a common goal


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Architectural) from an accredited institution with the goal of obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, AutoCad, and Inventor

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship provided. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and scientific methods for problem solving

  • Experience with structural analysis software including Excel

  • Knowledge of structural analysis, engineering principals, and simulation software

  • Knowledge of standards and test methods

  • Possess project management skills

As a Merchandising Service Associate, this means: * Being friendly and professional, and engaging vendors and associates to meet store needs. * Ensuring signage, pricing information, and displays are accurate so that merchandise is easy to locate. * Creating visually appealing product selections that are safe, clean, and easy for customers to access. The Merchandising Service Associate (MSA) completes merchandising resets and service-related projects accurately, on time, and in accordance with merchandising and safety standards. To be successful, this associate must be able to follows detailed project instructions. The MSA builds displays, processes damaged products, rotates and prices stock, resolves project issues or questions, checks third party work completion, and provides proof of project completion. Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores. What We're Looking For * Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store. * Requires morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight availability any day of the week. * Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. * Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance. What You Need To Succeed Minimum Qualifications * Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction). * Ability to work overnight and weekends as required. * Ability to utilize web based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks. Preferred Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * 6 months of Lowe's sales floor experience. * 6 months of experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading planograms, setting up and tearing down displays. * 3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment * Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job (e.g., hand tools, drills, saws).
