The Product Manager will be handling engineering work for customers throughout North America. The Product Manager will be responsible for designing and modifying current machines, creating layouts, generating drawing packages for sourcing, creating technical documents, and help with mechanical field service. The standard tasks of this position include - but are not limited to: • Managing the documentation for assigned product lines (machine design and modifications, manufacturing drawings, installation instructions, process descriptions, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, electrical systematics, cost calculation sheets) • Ensuring the quality of the Product Design through design reviews and release processes, create quality certificates, assist with cost calculation sheets based on material weights and production steps, create product sets, check operating manuals, spare parts lists, and assembly instructions • Checking the design, after it is completed, using the Design Checklist to ensure that criteria such as occupational safety, easy servicing, accessibility for replacing spare and wear parts, suitability for transport (container/truck), operability, cleaning, etc. are fulfilled • Updating the Product Master List documentation for machine sizes, 3D/2D drawings, design checklists, manuals, service checklists, Inventor iProperties, quality certificates, cost calculation sheet, etc. • Creating layouts and technical documents • Deriving 2D shop drawings from the 3D design; creating Processing/Laser files, as required • Defining purchased and equipment parts and enter them in the design and/or the parts lists and libraries
