Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Ensures projects follow organizational best practices for design, prototyping, and testing.

• Maintains and extends existing products, processes, design, and tooling.

• Inspects and reviews parts against engineering drawings and specifications.

• Manages the processing and filing of engineering documentation including engineering changes and bills of materials.

• Drives hardware-based R&D, including rapid prototyping with endurance testing.

• Works hands on with engineers in solving complex mechanical and electrical issues.

• Takes on projects as required based on company objectives, schedules, and timelines.

• Identifies and communicates issues effectively, working with teams towards resolution.

• Must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or higher.

• Proven experience managing in an engineering environment with tight timelines and fast changing priorities.

• 5+ years working hands on in the role of a mechanical engineer.

• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects and managing engineering teams.

• Proficient in designing and reviewing work completed in PTC Creo & CAD like systems.

• Experience troubleshooting/diagnosing issues with digital and electrical circuit designs.

• Experience using MPLAB X or similar tool is desirable but not required.

• Understanding PCB design and underlying concepts is desirable but not required

Onsite at there facility in Virginia Beach, VA with hybrid flexibility after training.
