Position Overview

Product Director for the lawn category at TruGreen is responsible for overseeing the innovation, development, and optimization of TruGreen's product and services in alignment with the strategies and vision of the Organization. This position will collaborate with and drive results by partnering with leaders throughout the organization to determine near and long-term growth strategies.


1.Create consumer product strategy and translate into an actionable, detailed product roadmap that accounts for new products, services, features and positioning opportunities

2.Support roadmap prioritization through business cases that incorporate analysis of market re- search and relevant internal data points to project product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability 3. Achieve sales growth targets by working with Business Leaders and key stakeholders to create product level strategies

4.Prepare short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, analyses, and reports geared to create actionable insights to drive increased performance

5.Recommend the scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and product innovation

6.Bring new products and product improvements to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs by preparing return-on-investment analyses and establishing clear expectations with business leaders

7.Partner with Operations leaders and Finance partners to determine product pricing strategy by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, and anticipating volume

8.Determine and anticipate customers' needs and desires through customer feedback, market research, and competitor analyses

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Marketing in complex/matrix environments, or an equivalent combination. MBA preferred.

  • P&L / GM experience

  • Merchandising and promotional management

  • Consumer research / insight experience

  • Demonstrated experience in development and execution of strategy and work plans

  • Experience with traditional and digital marketing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to operate with autonomy through competing priorities, ambiguity, and still deliver on the goals of your team and broader organization

  • Take charge mentality with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" orientation, serious commitment to accountability and ownership, and a strong work ethic
