Product Director - Salesforce Platform, Commercial Bank

The Commercial Bank continues to increase its size and profitability while embracing its digital transformation.

The Commercial Banking Salesforce Platform Product Manager will own the Salesforce platform across Capital One's Commercial Bank. This is a highly collaborative role that will require direct people management and the ability to partner with team and leaders across the Commercial Bank. In owning the platform, this individual will:

  • Own the overall strategy for the Salesforce platform, its backlog, and product roadmap while partnering extensively with Software Engineering Leadership and our Salesforce Customer Success Lead

  • Reestablish how we work with key Stakeholders and Accountable Executives throughout the Commercial Bank to operate more effectively

  • Define the talent and governance model needed to support Salesforce in the Commercial Bank and manage/hire talent as needed

  • Directly manage a multi-level team of associates and direct the capacity of dotted-line software engineering teams

  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, and career guide and mentor to teams

  • Create and sustain positive team culture

  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to ensure successful execution

  • Partner with Data Producers, Data Consumers and Leaders in InfoSec/Risk/Compliance to define Salesforce's role in supporting a clean and scalable data model

  • Lead a multiple Product Managers, mentoring and guiding them through product delivery and team dynamics

  • Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in leading Salesforce teams

  • Ability to influence a diverse set partners to drive cross-functional results in a large, matrixed organization

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills: someone who is an engaging storyteller and at ease presenting to executives across multiple disciplines

  • Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technical dimensions of delivering solutions

  • Strategic and tactical thinker: someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts while delivering short-term results and progress towards an inspiring long-term vision

  • Strong quantitative background to support data-based decision making

  • Collaborative, team player who can create and maintain a positive team culture built on Capital One's values

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 7 years of experience in digital product management

  • At least 5 years experience working with the Salesforce platform

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • MBA or Master's degree

  • 5+ years of Financial Services experience

  • 5+ years experience in Agile Product Management

  • 5+ years of people management experience
