Product Development Process Manager

The Product Development Process Manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and implementing standards, workflows, and quality requirements across the building-scale product platform. As KATERRA increases its creation of productized assemblies, the process manager will work to create consistency and ensure quality across product teams' regarding messaging, deliverables, level of development, best practices, and flow of work. The process manager will build upon their process knowledge and sculpt the design process to suit a multi-disciplinary product development approach. The process manager will work to articulate the specific scope of a product to a wide variety of audiences, including how it should be delivered. The development of this process will include coordination and collaboration with KATERRA's other disciplinary functions outside of the architecture and engineering realms including but not limited to: construction, cost estimating, component design, materials sourcing and procurement, and manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with product teams to establish consistent content, messaging, and deliverables for product releases across all product development teams. Create deliverable templates for various phases of product development and for various audiences.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain process workflows and design process tools for product development.

  • Review product objectives and lead regular engagement with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product processes being developed meet changes in business needs.

  • Work with project teams on implementation of products into projects.

  • Coordinate with design project teams and multiple cross disciplinary entities within KATERRA to identify and problem solve downstream needs; develop feedback loop process.

  • Develop standards for collecting and presenting market research, customer requirements, product requirements, and our business case analyses.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance practices for product development including phase definition, phase deliverables, and task-based checklists. Process development will rely heavily upon collaboration with product teams to ensure phases and deliverables coincide with and support product development objectives and goals.

  • Develop a cross disciplinary and cross department quality control review process for product development deliverables.

  • Perform quality control reviews for product deliverables.

  • Develop standards and work flow for digital product documentation control, versioning, and change management.

  • Develop process for issuing product changes (AKA Engineering Change Management) and versioning to product team following initial product rollout.

  • Develop process for product roll out including project team messaging, 'how to use' product guides, and product maintenance plan.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of product deliverable templates and examples.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, product management, or process engineering.

  • An accredited degree in architecture or engineering

  • Knowledge of product management and/or architecture and engineering design process, principles, and techniques

  • Knowledge of building materials and construction methods

  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices

  • Experience in construction administration and specification review

  • Understanding of Autodesk Revit Architecture

  • Strong capabilities for thoroughness and process development

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Ability to accept feedback, adapt processes, and create consensus

  • Strong skills in logic, reasoning, and storytelling

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to easily shift between macro and micro levels of information

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous, busy, and contradictory environment and deliver outstanding results in a timely manner

We're currently looking for a Bioengineer II to join our Seattle Process Development organization to contribute to both ongoing and new programs within Cell Therapy Development and Operations. The individual will be a key contributor to the development of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CARs) and T Cell Receptors (TCRs) early-stage manufacturing process. He/she will design, perform, and interpret complex experiments in collaboration with other process and analytical engineers focused on delivering robust CARs and TCRs manufacturing process. This individual will be involved in the implementation of new technologies and author part of IND submission for FIH programs. The successful candidate will work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment and able to provide guidance for cell culture experiments to enable understanding of process and how it impacts drug product attributes.
