UNTUCKit is seeking an enthusiastic and self-starting Product Development Manager. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills and an ability to work efficiently and autonomously within a fast-paced environment. This position will be based in our New York office.

  • Daily communication with overseas suppliers to monitor timing of all submits including fabric swatches, proto as well as lab dips, strike-offs
  • Managing the life cycle of all styles in development with Director of product development, including costing
  • Actively facilitate communication between vendors and cross functional teams such as Merchandising, Design, and Technical Design.
  • Building and supporting integral vendor and cross-functional relationships.
  • Regularly meet with Merchants throughout the line building process
  • Closely monitor production schedules, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate vendor costing and maintain all costing references for best possible pricing.
  • Partnering with internal business partners to ensure adherence to production's time and action calendar deadlines
  • Manage seasonal product development T&A


  • Strong ability to adapt to frequent changes and thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment
    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments with excellent follow up and follow through skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams and overseas factories
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, good team player but also must be able to work independently
  • Candidate should have 3-5 years industry experience
  • The individual must also be organized with great attention to detail, great excel skills and be able to meet deadlines
  • Experience in knits & sweaters
  • Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000

This team is driving Enterprise Big Data platform strategy by leveraging state of art technology and evolving Nextgen architecture for building products, capabilities to democratize the trusted data and enabling use cases for driving growth initiatives.</p><p>This specific role is under Platform Governance team within EDP. Team's goal is to drive customer engagement and deepen customer relationship to enable innovation and value creation powered by Big Data. Team helps optimize the use of platform data within the bounds of data governance policy, global data regulations while mitigating platform operational risk. This team will be creating platform governance models, governance framework and capabilities using Agile product development. The charter also includes in educating and imbibing platform governance frameworks, guidelines, and will be working with solution architecture and product development teams to design relevant products and services to drive Governance with Transparency across the ecosystem.</p><p>Challenges will include designing the winning strategies and applications that will elevate Amex to the forefront of the digital revolution and provide competitive advantage. To execute on these applications, this position will drive the development of Nextgen Information Assets and associated platform governance products and services which will leverage existing industry knowledge and Nextgen assets customized for the Amex context and innovate new and novel digital solutions.</p><p>Does this sound like you?</p><p>As a Senior Manager/Manager Product Development you will:</p><ul><li><p>Develop robust Big Data platform governance and management frameworks, guiding principles, strategies that support Enterprise Platform Governance objectives and outcomes</p></li><li><p>Work with Enterprise Data Governance, Operational Excellence, Privacy, Compliance, General Counsel, Information Security and other relevant stakeholders to understand and capture enterprise platform governance needs for the Big Data and Nextgen data platforms.</p></li><li><p>Assess platform operational risks and develop appropriate controls to mitigate known risks</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Cornerstone Solution Architecture and Product Development teams to ensure that governance frameworks are adhered across product development and delivery cycles</p></li><li><p>Strong communication - verbal, written, visual and presentations skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse and broad group of colleagues and partners, including stakeholders across Enterprise Data Governance, Operational Excellence, Privacy, Compliance, General Counsel, Information Security, Product Owners, Development engineers, business stakeholders, second line of defense and Internal Auditors</p></li><li><p>Development and documentation of critical platform process and trigger process risk self-assessment (PRSA) in partnership with Operational Excellence team.
