UPM Raflatac is looking for a Product Development Manager to join our Films & Specials Americas business team for a permanent position located in Mills River, NC.

What you will do

  • Focus on hot melt adhesive technology, silicone coatings and top coatings

  • Transform market opportunities into saleable products within the Films & Specials SBU end use segments

  • Develop pressure sensitive components and finished laminates for end use segments that include; Personal Care, Home Care, Beverage, Pharma, Durables, Security, Industrial Chemicals, Logistics and Digital

  • Follow technology developments and trends for labels, label converting and sustainable packaging

  • Collaborate with Global Product Development

  • Increase know-how of product performance in converting and end use applications

  • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders within customer and supply base

Who you are

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering, or equivalent experience. Prior experience in pressure sensitive laminate development, hot melt adhesive development, and or scale up of hot melt adhesives, silicone coatings or top coats preferred

  • You have 5 years minimum experience and knowledge of the labelling, packaging industry or similar field, Global experience is an asset

  • You have project management stage gate experience and knowledge of statistical methods.

  • You take initiative and work effectively with others

  • You have an analytical and problem-solving mindset, and you are eager to learn new things.

  • You are fluent in English. Spanish language proficiency is an asset

Ability to travel approximately 5-15% of the time.
