ROLE OVERVIEW: Product Development Manager, Apparel The Product Development Manager, Apparel will be responsible for overseeing product development for the Global Lifestyle Brands (GLB) group, serving key wholesale customers.
This role is central in managing communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, with a focus on aligning development activities with customer expectations, ensuring efficiency, and upholding quality standards. The role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive collaborative efforts among cross-functional teams. WHO WILL LOVE THIS ROLE?
Product Development Manager, Apparel A proactive, detail-oriented leader with a passion for product development and a robust understanding of apparel manufacturing. The ideal candidate is collaborative, solution-oriented, and highly organized, with a proven ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Manager, Apparel Serve as the liaison between customers and internal development teams to drive process flow and alignment.
Act as the subject matter expert on customer policies, KPI standards, testing requirements, and cost structures. Collaborate with Product Development and Sales teams to meet both business and customer needs. Lead communication efforts on project timelines, product updates, and process improvements.
Oversee account-specific costing exercises and provide margin analyses. Maintain SharePoint systems for tracking development projects and ensure data accuracy for seasonal item setups. REQUIREMENTS: Product Development Manager, Apparel Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field, is required. 7-10 years in product development, with expertise in apparel manufacturing, particularly activewear.
Proven ability to perform cost and margin analysis, developing cost structures, and utilization of a PLM system to meet specific requirements for major brand clients. Strong communication and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in customer systems like PLM; SharePoint knowledge is a plus.
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively across functions. Spanish language skills and occasional travel availability preferred.
