Product Development Engineer (PPE)

Work as project technical leader, driving the technical activities to enhance the global General Safety business. Part of NPI Development team, well organize and leverage for project conduction; Co-work with project manager & Tech Leader to transform the project objectives into solid realistic work plans; Constantly discuss and align activities with project team (sales, marketing, manufacturing, etc.); Well analyze and manage project risk for assigned tasks. Continuously observe, analyze and assess scientific and technical trends in products, processes, applications, and industries.

Closely follow and evaluate scientific literature, publications, IP and draw conclusions accordingly, and file patents

Drive innovative solutions for sustainable business development. Establish complete integration of Comfort, Fit, Usability, Ergonomics and anthropometrics into the technology and product development process.

Interpret project objectives into clear technical targets and logical technical route.

Conduct technical feasibility assessment.

Develop products/processes using existing and new technologies & methods.

Systematically summarize the technical results, findings, and draw conclusions.

Implement and ensure compliance with company standards regarding EHS.

Proactively maintain the network within global R&D team.

Instruct, coach, develop, motivate and inspire lab team members.

Hands on with applying best practices related to design re-use, platform approach.
20 Perform laboratory testing 20 Research new methods 20 Design experiments 20 Lead improvement initiatives 20 Test and monitor performance of processes throughout production

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree

WE VALUE

  • Background of material science, material processing, polymer science & technology or chemical engineering

  • 3+ years of conducting scientific experiments in chemical labs (including PhD period)

  • 3+ years working experience in material develop related

  • Deep understanding in Foaming material processing technology and application

  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art material & technologies

  • Familiarity with basic principles of material physical/chemical features

  • Familiarity with material characterization and analytical methods

The Product StewardshipSpecialist is a key team member who works with business leaders to drive regulatory compliance and Product Stewardship compliance while enabling growth. As such, the Product Stewardship Specialist must possess technical and regulatory skills, and demonstrate business acumen.
