How will you make an impact?

As a member of an analytics team, you will evaluate information to develop relevant metrics and develop business insights for key stakeholders. You will be responsible for gathering data and conducting research on various factors impacting MGIC's business including competitive analysis and key performance indicators. In addition, you will examine qualitative and quantitative data to gain insight and develop recommendations for decision makers, respond to requests for information, data analysis, and reporting, as well as perform troubleshooting and initiate improvements. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for conducting quantitative analytics and complex modeling projects including: sales analytics, and competitive position analyses.

  • Conducts research, gathers information, and maintains awareness of business environment, government events, and regulatory changes.

  • Helps create and maintain dashboards and other business reports.

  • Plans, or participates in the planning, of complex key business projects. Establishes scope and objectives, and develops the strategy for completion.

  • Summarizes and presents findings to management groups

  • Responsible for unique and ongoing responsibilities as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

Education: Completion of a Bachelors Degree. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate's Degree.

Experience: More than 3 of years recent and related experience performing advanced work in area of specialization.


Required Knowledge and

Skills:
  • Proficiency in data query and statistical tools/languages such as SAS, SQL, Python, and R

  • Development experience in Tableau is a plus

  • Interdisciplinary knowledge including finance, mathematics, statistics, and programming

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate complex topics to diverse audiences

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of the residential mortgage industry and the role of mortgage insurance is preferred

In this career defining opportunity within the Global Product Security organization, you will report to the Director, Global Product Security Operations and will co-manage the daily activities for the Product Security Incident Response (PSIR) function as well as co-lead our threat intelligence efforts. This critical role will take daily direction from the PSIR Program Manager and follow established procedures to perform intake, conduct initial analysis, and respond to reported product vulnerabilities and security concerns. This role will also work as a key contributor to our product security threat intelligence efforts, executing established procedures and developing threat intelligence products for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage data from a variety of telemetry sources and leverage a SIEM to further enhance product security visibility using a variety of sources. How you will do it * Perform intake, initial analysis and execution of initial product security incident response (PSIR) activities. * In coordination with product engineers, attend to inquiries from a variety of external and internal stakeholders seeking assistance from our team. * Perform daily open source threat intelligence review and reporting activities. * Develop and mature PSIRT program elements that include playbook development, response coordination procedures and information collection requirements. * Create CVEs and author product security bulletins and coordinated disclosures. * Drive the threat intelligence function to maintain day-to-day situational awareness in cybersecurity and application security trends and events. * Author whitepapers, blog posts, internal and external articles on product security trends and threat topics. * Develop methodologies for collecting and correlating technical data sources leveraging SIEM technology. * Collaborate in SOC automation development, dashboards and metrics. * Help drive maturation and growth of product SOC in conjunction with existing corporate cybersecurity SOC. * Manage incident response records and ensure accurate and detailed information. * Assist PSIR Program Manager in creating, auditing and improving PSIR Program documentation and communications deliverables to include the PSIR plan, playbooks, procedures, and Product Security Advisory content. What we look for Required * Experience in Product or Computer Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT/CSIRT) processes. * Current knowledge of emerging cyber security, technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities. * Excellent communication skills including written and verbal, positive attitude and a team mindset. * Excellent organization, project management mindset. * Ability to collect, correlate and disseminate threat intelligence from both open and closed sources and the ability to create written content for both technical and non-technical audiences. * SIEM experience a plus. * Results oriented, motivated self-starter with high a level of initiative to drive tasks to completion and a desire for continuous learning. * Strong interest in technology in general and specifically cybersecurity. * Attention to detail and passion for efficient data management and activity tracking. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proven ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative and positive manner. * CISSP, CISA or related cybersecurity and project management certifications are a plus. * Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related 2 year technical degree. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in cybersecurity. * Travel is occasional at approximately 10%, including international.
