Zurich North America is looking for a Product Development Analyst II to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

In this critical role, the Product Development Analyst II will be responsible for multiple product and forms related duties as Zurich North America transitions to new Guidewire technology, such as:

  • Conducts research, analysis, and interpretation of coverage forms for product updates

  • Analyze forms usage and recommend areas to reduce redundancies and simplify

  • Uses technology and analytical skills to assist in the tracking of projects through the product development lifecycle

  • Analyze ISO circulars & bureau product information and identify the impact on Zurich products across multiple lines of business

  • Take the lead within Technical Underwriting to coordinate and manage response to bureau product changes

  • Ensure coverage forms are kept in-sync in policy issuance systems as we migrate to new Guidewire technology

  • Collaborate with Regulatory Services & IT on product changes

  • Maintain and update forms library

  • Support lines of business with the drafting of simple forms on an ad-hoc basis

  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships within Technical Underwriting and other units (e.g., Regulatory Services, Corporate Law, IT, BU, etc.)

The Product Development Analyst II role is critical to ensuring the successful transition to Guidewire. We are looking for an experienced professional with the following skills:

  • Deep understanding of bureau products and related company exceptions

  • Core Zurich North America product knowledge across multiple lines of business

  • Exceptional analytical skills

  • Project Management experience

  • Utmost attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Product Development area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Product Development area

AND

  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPCU

  • Property and casualty insurance experience

  • Change Management skills

  • Experience with state filing departments

Primary responsibilities include supporting management to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are in place and operating effectively. Work with an experienced team to bring innovative solutions to management to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment. Support director and senior financial governance analysts to understand the root cause of financial reporting errors identified and help develop remediation plans. Additional Responsibilities Include: * Ability to analyze processes to identify risks and control weaknesses * Ability to design and implement appropriate controls to strengthen the control environment and mitigate company risks * Recognize the impact of major external or internal changes to the control environment * Participate in cross functional groups to implement or enhance controls based on organizational transformations * Bring a systematic and disciplined approach to maintain the control environment * Ability to document processes from start to finish through the collaboration with subject matter experts * Ability to design and execute the testing of internal controls and facilitate the related remediation for any control deficiencies identified * Develop presentations tailored to audiences at various levels and business / IT functions to communicate internal control findings * Ability to promote and educate cross functional partners on the importance of internal controls * Ensure IT testing procedures meet the associated control objective and mitigate the risk Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 4 or more years of experience in the Finance area OR * High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Finance area OR * Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance and 4 or more years of experience in the Finance area AND * Knowledge and experience using accounting principles * Experience with General Ledger, software, financial reporting systems, Business Objects and financial query tools.
