Overview
The Product Designer role exists to bridge the gap between user needs and the functionality of a product. This role is crucial for ensuring that the product is not only functionally effective but also provides an excellent user experience (UX) and user interface (UI), which is essential to build a product that resonates and creates stickiness with customers and users.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accountable for creating designs that effectively address user needs and enhance user experience
Ensure that all design elements are intuitive, accessible, and contribute to a seamless user journey
Conduct user research to gather insights on user needs and behaviours
Develop and iterate on UI/UX designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
Perform usability testing to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement
Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive product vision and execution
Iterate on designs based on testing, feedback, and changing requirements
Communicate design rationale and specifications clearly to non-design team members
Create and maintain design documentation, including user flows, process flows, and design specifications
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, behavioural sciences, industrial design, or a related field. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
Min 5 years of experience as a Product Designer
Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and others
Knowledge of UX design processes and methodologies, such as user research, persona creation, user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
Good understanding of design principles, including colour theory, typography, layout, and branding
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance user needs with business objectives and outcomes
Strong empathy towards users, understanding their needs, challenges and motivations
A team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Ability to analytically interpret user data and feedback
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with building B2B products is a plus
