VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 Warby Parker is on the lookout for a full-time UX Product Designer to help create some of the smartest, most seamless shopping experiences. We're seeking someone who can not only translate the Warby Parker brand into a user-friendly experience across all properties—mobile, desktop, email, retail, and everything in between—but can also help generate new ideas for flow and function. In this role, we'll count on you to continually think of smarter, cleaner, and quicker experiences to help our customers interact with our products and brand. If you're looking to join a team that's passionate about creating the best shopping experiences through analytics, testing, and quick iterations, then we have a job for you. What you'll do: * Identify key areas throughout the site that can be enhanced * Justify your recommendations with data, balancing both user and business goals and continually striving for improvements across the entire customer experience * Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for a wide spectrum of devices * Cull ideas and inspiration from the best of the internet and other product experiences * Work closely with our Design and Development teams to suggest, refine, and edit prototypes for each stage of the product design cycle * Synthesize customer data into meaningful insights * Incorporate both quantitative and qualitative information into the decision-making and product roadmapping process * Share those perspectives and insights throughout the entire product design cycle, including the ideation, planning, development, and post-deployment stages * Represent user perspectives with integrity and prioritize their needs across each and every project Who you are: * Backed by 3+ years of designing experiences on the web, from mobile to desktop * Someone with a demonstrated knack for creating engaging user experiences * Able to empathize with a wide range of customer needs * Known for your attention to detail and creative problem-solving * Passionate—like, cheerleader-level enthusiastic—about seamless and scalable web experiences * Someone with strong, well-formed opinions who can articulate the needs of your audience in a compelling, clear way * Resourceful and flexible with exceptional teamwork skills * Sure-footed and able to work in a fast-paced, highly productive environment under tight deadlines * An expert at creating quality deliverables using tools like Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and Keynote * Equipped with a conceptual understanding of foundational web technologies, responsive design, and agile methodology Extra credit: * E-commerce design experience * Visual or front-end design skills About us: Warby Parker was founded in 2010 with a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price while leading the way for socially conscious businesses. By circumventing traditional channels and designing our frames in house, we're able to offer insanely high-quality eyewear at decidedly non-insane prices (i.e., from $95 with prescription lenses—a fraction of the going price!). In the last eight years, we've grown to over 60 retail locations in the U.S. and Canada, opened our first optical lab in upstate New York, and launched two of our own iOS apps. And for three years running, Fast Company has named us one of the world's most innovative companies. We also hold ourselves to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. This means lots of different things, like operating carbon-neutrally and distributing a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair we sell. (We're big believers that businesses can scale and be profitable while doing good in the world.) Of course, all work and no play makes an extremely dull office, and no one likes an extremely dull office. (We sure don't.) As an employee at Warby Parker, you can look forward to company outings, guest speakers, volunteering opportunities, and other brain- (and/or taste-bud-) stimulating activities. It also doesn't hurt that our team is just great company. Some benefits and perks of working at Warby Parker: * Health, vision, and dental insurance * Flexible "My Time" vacation policy * Retirement savings plan with a company match * Parental leave (non-birthing parents included) * Cell phone plan reimbursement * A health-and-wellness stipend * Free eyewear (plus discounts for friends and family) * And more (just ask!)
