About the Cruise Design organization

Design is a passionate group of leaders across design, research, brand, and 3D environment. We craft the experience people have with Cruise from our self-driving vehicles, to our software, to the way people experience our brand. About the role

Cruise is looking for a seasoned and inspiring design leader to join the Design Team at a pivotal moment for Cruise. Ideal candidates have an eye for exceptional craftsmanship, strong strategic thinking & product development experience, and leadership admired by others. You are passionate about the opportunity to define how the world will live with autonomous vehicles. You will shape the strategy, guide the design, and set the bar for quality in our products. Day-to-day responsibilities include

  • Envision the future

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define the experience of ridesharing in autonomous vehicles

  • Collaborate across disciplines to plan and manage the execution of our product roadmap

  • Recruit, hire and mentor and amazing team of product designers

  • Help build our design culture

  • Work to create a design system that expresses our brand, speeds our development, and will be loved by broad communities of people

  • Lead with qualitative insights and data to ensure we make informed product decisions

  • Roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications

  • 8+ years experience working in product design

  • 3+ years people leadership experience

  • A history of developing product vision and strategy and helping peers translate that into product roadmaps and experiences

  • Experience designing for diverse groups of people (e.g. multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities)

  • Skilled in both written and spoken communication with the ability to influence company decisions

The Global Productivity and Sales Tools (GPST) team is responsible for leading efficiency improvements for our global Sales organizations by driving the development of better tools and processes. As a Global Product Lead, you'll connect what the business side (sales teams) require from our tools with the Product/Engineering teams that can make those requests come to life. As a Global Product Lead (GPL) for Data Platform, you will work directly with Product Management and Engineering team to design, develop, and launch improvements that are the foundation of our Customer Relationship Management System. You will represent the Ads and Publisher/Platforms Sales Organizations, translating their needs into requirements for PM and Engineering. Partnering closely with PM and the Go-To-Market (GTM) Operations team, you will be responsible for influencing the product roadmap and driving global adoption for our program. The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done. Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 4 years of project management experience. Experience handling daily activities to drive deliverables. * Experience with analyzing and recognizing patterns in data and coordinating between disparate business processes, perspectives and data points. * Experience ideating solutions to problems relating to technical processes/workflows and back-end data infrastructure. Preferred qualifications: * Experience working with datasets to identify outliers, synthesize and summarize key findings which lead to feature enhancements needed to address underlying issues. * Experience in gathering/documenting requirements and recommending strategies for tool development. * Demonstrated ability to be concise, communicate clearly and present to executives. * Synthesize user feedback (through user testing sessions), build business cases and prioritize requirements for Internal Systems and processes, mainly around accounts and company related objectives. * Uncover insights and gaps in current tools through analyzing data and translating findings into well-thought out business asks shared with our product teams. * Dive into larger datasets to uncover insights, as well as identify edge cases to solve. * Generate and triage new tool ideas/features by partnering with our cross-functional stakeholders. * Write Business Review Documents (BRDs) to incorporate and document our user feedback.
