Product Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer based in Columbia, SC.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Perform routine engineering design analyses using established Westinghouse developed methodologies for the development of new nuclear fuel products and enhancements of existing fuel products.

• Work in multifaceted teams with focus on new product development or issue resolution.

• Initiate and support product testing activities of nuclear fuel and related components. Evaluate test results and document results in related reports.

• Interface with customers, vendors, and other internal functional groups in support of design activities.

• Perform design changes in support of manufacturability improvements.

• Identify and assist in development of new business opportunities.

• Personal development of skills necessary to assume more independent assignments.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable technical degree) required.

• 0-3 years of engineering experience.

• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques.

• Good teamwork skills.

• Experience in SolidWorks, Ansys, and MATLAB is a plus.
