A product demonstrator is an ambassador of the product, the brand, and the retail stores in which they are working. The role communicates directly with customers in a marketing and public relations capacity. By showcasing the benefits, value, and usefulness of certain products, the product demonstrator makes them desirable to potential customers and boosts sales at a retail store by facilitating in-store demonstrations.

Essential Functions:

  • Plans, prepares and styles food for product demonstration

  • Interacts and educates customers on food preparation tips and the positive attributes of a product.

  • Interacts with buyers regarding product list and determines what foods are needed to be presented.

  • Effectively communicates with customers individually and in groups. Provide potential customers with a detailed picture of a product in a short amount of time.

  • Establish a quick rapport with a wide variety of people and communicate in a style that is likable, relate-able and persuasive.

  • Responsible for staging, creating and assembling workstations and product displays.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at cooking/kitchen/studio job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is at times performed in outside weather conditions.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must lift up to 50 pounds.

25 hours per week

Monday-Friday // weekends off

Shifts are (5) hours long and fall between the hours of 8am and 5pm


This position requires 100% travel to demo locations (stores, markets, etc) within the Providence territory.

Pay rate: $19 per hour + mileage reimburesement

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma.

  • 2 Years' Culinary and food preparation, handling and sanitation experience.

  • Prior experience in a position with direct customer contact.

  • Reliable vehicle

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in culinary arts, marketing, business, public relations or education preferred.

The Sales Rep is responsible for achieving all territory sales goals through the promotion, sale and support of company products or services in his/her geographic territory.
