Position Overview

The Manager of Product Data is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's product data management strategies, ensuring high-quality data standards, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. This position leads a team of Product Data Analysts and collaborates with Category Management, Digital E-Commerce, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align product data governance with business objectives. The Manager of Product Data will champion the development and implementation of product data policies, standards, and processes, facilitating a cohesive and efficient approach to product data across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive product data management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.

  • Implement and maintain master data management practices to uphold the integrity of product data across multiple platforms and systems.

  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis to identify best practices and ensure our product data management capabilities are industry-leading.

  • Guide the team in the use of data analytics, profiling, and visualization tools to monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Foster innovation by leveraging automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced data science techniques to enhance product data management processes.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to address data-related challenges and opportunities.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce documentation standards and procedures for product data management.

  • Report on progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in product data initiatives.

  • Mentor, develop, and lead a team of Product Data Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization to ensure effective collaboration and support for product data initiatives.

Skills We Are Seeking

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities effectively.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

  • Agility in a complex and rapidly changing environment, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and strong skills in SQL and data analysis.

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt and master new technologies and applications.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with business customers and team members.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building and collaboration across functions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product data management or a related field, with a track record of successful team leadership.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
