We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Studio team as Product Copywriting Team Lead for The Outnet. This role will support the Studio Manager in the day to day running of the team and ensure the upload process runs smoothly as well as managing the team and workload. You will be responsible for creating sophisticated, high-end, styling guidelines to our copywriting and size &fit team that complies with the house aesthetic. The candidate should have an extremely strong commercial awareness, a good knowledge of women's fashion and the proven ability to meet upload deadlines. You will help ensure all products on the site are described in an accurate and reliable manner, in clear and concise English and represent the brand ethos.

Responsibilities:

The Upload

  • Quality check uploads on both the CMS and live site, working to tight deadlines to ensure all product descriptions are accurate and informative, showcasing all relevant key details

  • Conduct regular audits of the site to check for consistency and accuracy

  • Monitor VOC, sales and return reports, making sure necessary actions are undertaken in order to ensure complete customer satisfaction and targets are consistently met

  • Update live copy with amend requests from Retail Coordinators, Stock Comparison teams and Buyers

  • Manage the team on a daily basis and take overall responsibility and ownership of the product page from an editorial standpoint

  • Oversee submissions of new drop down categories

  • Monitor reshoots and update accordingly

Mentoring

  • Recruit, develop and retain US Copywriting/Size & Fit Team, in line with the needs of the business and to support business growth.

  • Provide leadership, ensuring team are inspired, engaged and motivated. Constantly seeking to be the best and exceed expectations.

  • Establish an induction program for new writers that helps them settle during their 3 month probation period.

  • Manage team development, mentoring a group of writers on a regular basis, monitoring their progress and overseeing their probationary and annual reviews

  • Maintain regular catch ups with your team, keeping documented evidence of their problems and progress to assist with review process

Miscellaneous

  • Manage assignment of DLP (Designer Landing Page) audits and seasonal updates

  • Create a new Style Guide based on the updated programs

  • Liaise with SEO team to ensure alignment is consistent

  • Contribute ideas for product page development

  • Present reviews of competitor activity

  • Various ad hoc duties

  • Ability to problem solve and react to evolving business requirements

  • Act as an ambassador for the YOOX NET-A-PORTER Group

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of copy writing/editing experience at the senior level or higher that indicates a strong editorial point of view and sound knowledge of SEO, fashion, fabrics and brands.

  • Knowledge of garment technical aspects affecting the fit preferred

  • Excellent grammar and spelling

  • Proven writing skills and ability to identify and work with a set voice/tone

  • Ability to meet strict daily deadlines

  • A keen attention to detail

  • Familiar with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
