JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

The Product Copywriter is responsible for all product romance copy. He/she collaborates closely with the product information, merchandising, product development and ecommerce teams to help research our beautiful products and turns the information into compelling descriptions on our product information pages. This position reports to the Editorial Director.

  • Writes romance copy for product information pages, or PIPs

  • Audits existing product copy on a project-to-project basis

  • Writes additional copy for the PIPs, including content blocks

  • Helps schedule and run seasonal copy meetings by category

  • Provides support on other product-specific copy needs, including retail signage and catalog editorials

  • Supports additional editorial team initiatives, contributing articles and pitching in on other projects when needed

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong writing skills, with ability to distill product details into concise, compelling and inspirational product copy for our customers

  • Ability to edit copy - including your own - with an eagle eye

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills

  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills

  • A flexible and can-do attitude

  • A knack for working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage a high volume of copy

  • Passion for home design and retail products

  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams

  • Four-year degree in a related field

  • Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
