Who We Need

Were looking for a Copywriter to work with a team of passionate marketers to create and maintain digital marketing content that supports our sales team and consistently create excellent product copy. As our ideal Copywriter candidate, you should come with a healthy blend of creative ability, marketing strategy, technical aptitude, strategic thinking, and, most importantly, great communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Own the tone and voice of the brand (wise and friendly, but non-authoritarian)
  • Strategically plan the manner in which content is presented and through which mediums
  • Identify speaking opportunities for Brightwell and get us on the stage
  • Help with future market exploration and lead gen opportunities
  • Determine which tactics and messaging will resonate with targeted audience
  • Identify gaps in existing messaging, recommend ways to strengthen messaging and modify assets accordingly
  • Contribute to the development of content pieces in a variety of formats, from blog posts to videos to whitepapers and more (Social media is the only thing you WONT be asked to work on weve got that covered.)
  • Create content for sign up materials and onboarding materials for our crew members

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

  • A portfolio of work showing clear, consistent messaging across all media, digital and print
  • Ability to build a larger scale communications plan and execute on it
  • An understanding of Design Thinking
  • A hands-on approach with the willingness to take on anything
  • Lots of initiative we want you to come up with ideas and run with them
  • Even if you don't consider yourself a true "creative," you have the ability to brainstorm with others and think on your feet
  • The ability to gain insight from end-user data, business objectives, and technical feasibility to deliver consistent content across company applications in alignment with correct grammar and company brand standards

As a Copywriter, you have:

  • 4+ years of copywriting experience
  • Product launch experience
  • Agency and/or startup experience (this is a big one for us!)
  • Knowledge of usability best practices
  • Personal branding: We're looking for someone deeply invested in the industry with published blog posts, speaking engagements, active tweets, etc.
  • BS or BA in English or related field is required
  • The ability to look at and create content from the point of view of the end user, advocating for their needs when in conflict with business requirements
  • Solid understanding of content best practices, including active voice, customer focus and benefit-driven messaging that resonates with target audience
  • Ability to grasp complex ideas and effectively translate benefits into easy-to-understand language for end-users
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to travel occasionally

Well Give You Extra Credit for:
