Job Brief:

The Product Catalog Manager role is a combination of people management, project management, and strategic process improvements. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a product catalog team located at one of our three brand locations and own the quality and completeness of the Gartner Digital Markets catalog. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of direct management experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team to hit key performance goals.

What you will do:

  • Be the liaison for the Software Advice brand within the Gartner Digital Markets catalog. Work with the GMs and senior leaders to ensure the Software Advice brands needs are being met.

  • Lead a team of product specialists that manage our catalogs and ensure that their work aligns with the highest priority initiatives for the all three brands (Capterra, GetApp or Software Advice) strategy

  • Set catalog guidelines and standards with other catalog managers across 3 time zones and ensure those standards are followed across properties

  • Create and refine quarterly OKRs for direct reports and work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment on goals across all teams and brands.

  • Define and manage the process for creating, collecting and maintaining software category and product data

  • Work closely with Business Development, Reviews, Marketing/SEO, Product, and Engineering teams to identify catalog expansion and quality improvements

  • Assist with the process definition, user testing, and rollout of the cross-brand unified product catalog to ensure the platform supports the needs of all 3 brands

  • Write and/or edit unique product descriptions, target market copy, and pricing details for software products.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2-3 years of management experience with a proven track record of achieving team goals

  • Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly computer literate and proficient with Web research and data gathering

  • Self- motivated, organized, and extremely detail oriented

  • A strategic thinker who can plan, problem solve, and prioritize multiple projects at once

  • Software experience or technology knowledge preferred

Job Brief: Digital Markets is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Product Catalog Specialist to add to, ensure the accuracy of, and maintain the Software Advice product catalog data. This person will research, update, and provide analysis of current and future vendors to add to our catalog and why we would want to list them on Digital Markets websites. What You Will Do: * Learn and comprehend the functionality of various software products and ultimately determine if a product is a good fit for one or all Digital Market sites * Create new vendor profiles and ensure the highest attention to detail * Perform gap analyses to find new markets and software categories * Collaborate with the other product specialists across 4 time zones to ensure goals, guidelines, processes and data collected is shared efficiently across properties * Audit live categories and identify whether products are listed appropriately on the site * Occasionally write descriptions and unique product copy for GDM catalog to help build out new listings * Conduct online research on product offerings; fact-check and validate product information submitted by vendors * Ensure all product pages adhere to established best practices for publishing; develop and implement new best practices for profile publishing * Hire, manage, and coach contractors / freelancers to ensure high quality writing and data is submitted * Participate in the training and on-boarding of new catalog associates What You Will Need: * 1-2 years of market research or project management experience * A passion for driving and growing business, especially within commerce * Love for online research – preferably in the technology industry * Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills * Exceptional writing skills and a passion for details! * Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills * Team-oriented mindset * Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines What We Offer: * Limitless growth and learning opportunities. * A collaborative and positive culture — Your team will be as smart and driven as you * Outstanding compensation — Plus competitive benefits and generous time off * A chance to make an impact — Your work will contribute directly to our strategy #DigitalMarkets Job Requisition ID:40978 By submitting your information and application, you confirm that you have read and agree to the country or regional recruitment notice linked below applicable to your place of residence.
