The Product Catalog Manager role is a combination of people management, project management, and strategic process improvements. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a product catalog team located at one of our three brand locations and own the quality and completeness of the Gartner Digital Markets catalog. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of direct management experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team to hit key performance goals.
What you will do:
Be the liaison for the Software Advice brand within the Gartner Digital Markets catalog. Work with the GMs and senior leaders to ensure the Software Advice brands needs are being met.
Lead a team of product specialists that manage our catalogs and ensure that their work aligns with the highest priority initiatives for the all three brands (Capterra, GetApp or Software Advice) strategy
Set catalog guidelines and standards with other catalog managers across 3 time zones and ensure those standards are followed across properties
Create and refine quarterly OKRs for direct reports and work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment on goals across all teams and brands.
Define and manage the process for creating, collecting and maintaining software category and product data
Work closely with Business Development, Reviews, Marketing/SEO, Product, and Engineering teams to identify catalog expansion and quality improvements
Assist with the process definition, user testing, and rollout of the cross-brand unified product catalog to ensure the platform supports the needs of all 3 brands
Write and/or edit unique product descriptions, target market copy, and pricing details for software products.
What you'll need:
2-3 years of management experience with a proven track record of achieving team goals
Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly computer literate and proficient with Web research and data gathering
Self- motivated, organized, and extremely detail oriented
A strategic thinker who can plan, problem solve, and prioritize multiple projects at once
Software experience or technology knowledge preferred
