Croda is seeking Product Assurance Analysts for our Edison, NJ corporate headquarters.

Please note - our headquarters will be relocating to Princeton, NJ in Q2 2020. The Product Assurance Analyst will provide customized product assurance data to customers via statements and questionnaires to Croda's customers to enhance Croda's reputation in the market. Maintain product data within the quality department. Perform all duties within the Company's safety, health and environmental regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Key Duties:

Customer Requests

Review customer inquires-able to analyze, assess and understand requirements of request seeking clarification with the originator of the request as appropriate

Log all requests in the relevant database/log

Accountable for evaluating customer requests and formulating individual/standardized replies

Obtain the product information requested through individual research, departmental research, regional PAD/PSRA teams and company technical/operations teams

Coordinate inter-departmental responses and ensure timely completion of customer requests

Assimilate and analyze the researched data and use it to judge how best to formulate the reply

Analyze questionnaires and ensure responses meet Croda's intellectual property needs as well as evaluating product liability risks

Maintenance, Development and Validation of Product Information

Update and validate the Product Database with new information as research studies highlight new or changed knowledge

Assist with generation/acquisition of technical information related to new products or raw materials Recognize that information sourced from other specialists may be applicable to other products and coordinate full review to ensure all information is updated and maintained accordingly.

Assimilate and interpret large amounts of data (products, manufacturing processes, businesses, regulations, etc.) and suggest improved and more efficient methods of working

Ensure records are kept in accordance with legal requirements as well as Croda internal requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry or technical field

  • 2-3 years specialty chemical experience including a strong technical background.

  • Must have a good working knowledge relating to chemical use in the United States, a knowledge of the regulatory environment in North America and elsewhere is preferred but not required.

  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines and maintain relationships with numerous individuals in multiple departments.

  • Must be able to prioritize own work and work independent of supervision.

  • Must have good problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to take complex product information and formulate suitable customer responses in the form of statements and reports.

  • Will be required to work with individuals from multiple countries and languages

Job Description Responsible for the receipt, storage, and management of finished product retention samples, performance of annual physical evaluation of retention samples per CFR 211.170, as well as retention sample inspections to support customer complaint and deviation investigations, ensuring compliance with cGMPs, site policies, and procedures. Essential Duties / Functions: * Responsible for the receipt, log in, storage, and management of finished product retention samples. * Performs annual physical evaluation of retention samples * Performs inspection of retention samples to support customer complaint and deviation investigations * Conducts semi-annual and annual inventory of DEA retention samples * Performs DEA and non-DEA retention sample destruction activities. * Performs monthly archival of expired retain samples. * Submits samples to the Quality Control and Stability departments for testing. * Assists in performing Quality Monitoring functions of all required areas. * Assesses the adequacy of packaging batch record documentation on-line. * Audits records to ensure compliance with 21CFR Part 211 subpart F (Production and Process Control) and subpart J (Records and Reports). * Assists in Annual Product Reviews and Customer Complaints by providing data and inspection results. * May assist in the release of bulk products for Packaging. * May assist in the issuance of Hold Notices in Trackwise and material Variance Notices. * Maintains documentation of all activities. * May perform GMP Housekeeping Inspections. * May perform production area audits and checks, ANSI inspections, and general inspections. * Primary location is Edison; ability to be flexible to work at the Elizabeth site when needed. * Performs additional responsibilities/projects as assigned by area management. Qualifications Education Required: High School diploma or GED required Expreience Required: 3-5 years experience in a relevant Quality Assurance environment Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications required: * Certified Quality Inspector (ASQ or equivalent) preferred * Thorough knowledge of cGMPs in the pharmaceutical industry. * Must be well organized, detail-oriented, have good documentation skills, and experienced in working with minimal supervision. * Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (reads, speaks, and writes English). * Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel; data entry experience is a plus. * Must have the ability and willingness to interact and work with various individuals at all levels in the organization. * Strong mathematical skills * Understands temperature and weight measures. * Must have experience using gauges, including, but not limited to, micrometers. * Must work safely at all times, and comply with all safety policies and procedures. * Must demonstrate proficient PC skills.
